A model of ancient Greek drama-King Oedipus

King Oedipus is a tragic story of ancient Greece and one of the representative works of Sophocles, an ancient Greek tragic writer. King Oedipus tells the story of a tragic hero Oedipus. Oedipus was abandoned in the wilderness by his father when he was born and grew up in a neighboring country. Later, in order to fight for the road, he accidentally killed his biological father, but at this time he didn't know that this person was his own biological father. Later, he went to the border of Thebes, solved the problem of the Sphinx, killed the monster, became the king of Thebes, and married the widow of the king of that country according to the rules at that time. A few years later, there was a plague in Thebes, and I asked God's will before I knew that I had killed my biological father and married my biological mother. King Oedipus blinded his eyes with the golden needle on his clothes, and the blood in his eyes fell on him like all disasters. He asked people to open the palace gate so that all Thebes could see his father's murderer, and then asked to be exiled. King Oedipus is regarded as a model of the whole ancient Greek drama, and its rigorous plot structure and artistic skills can be compared with Iliad, while Sophocles, the author of King Oedipus, is also known as "Homer of dramatic art".
