Footnotes are footnotes attached to the bottom of the page, which explain something and are printed at the bottom of the page. Footnotes and endnotes are supplementary explanations to the text.

In Word, the way to view the text of footnotes and endnotes is to point the mouse to the annotation reference tag in the document, and the annotation text will appear on the tag.

2. Footnote notes

Only when the ScreenTip check box is selected in the View tab of the Options dialog box can you see footnotes or endnotes on the screen by the above method.
