History of Shunde (for reference only) Most of the land in Shunde was basically covered by seawater in ancient times. About 2500 to 5000 years ago, due to the deposition of rivers, Xingtan, Liule and Longjiang gradually became land. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, "Nanyue" people who lived in northern and central Guangdong now came to Shunde. They are the first residents of Shunde. In 2 17 BC, after the Qin Dynasty unified Lingnan, a large number of people from the Central Plains moved to Shunde, which brought about the awareness of attaching importance to agriculture, ironware and Niu Geng. Shunde's economy shows the characteristics of paying equal attention to fishing and hunting activities and agriculture. But until the Tang and Song Dynasties, Shunde was vast and sparsely populated, and most of the land was submerged under the mighty Pearl River, and crocodiles often appeared. The Song Dynasty is a crucial period for the development of Shunde. From Qin Shihuang's unification of Lingnan County to the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Shunde belonged to Panyu County and Nanhai County. It belonged to Nanhai County from the Sui Dynasty, Xianning County was separated from Panyu County in the Southern Han Dynasty in the Five Dynasties, and was reintegrated into Nanhai County in the early Song Dynasty. By the early Ming Dynasty, the fish ponds in Shunde, which were dominated by fruits, were large in scale and prosperous in culture, with a population of over 70,000. Before Shunde was established as a county, it was the land of Nanhai and Xinhui counties. Shunde was settled as early as the Song Dynasty. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, people fled with the imperial court, which made the population of Shunde grow rapidly. 1452, Huang Xiaoyang Uprising broke out in Liuye Longyan. In order to strengthen the rule, in the third year of Jingtai (A.D. 1452), the Ming Dynasty set aside Tung Chung Fort, Ma Ning, Ding 'an, Xilin and Baitengbao in Xinhui in the South China Sea, and established Shunde County, which means "Shuntian Mingde", and Etgenbao was one of them. After the county was founded in Shunde, it belonged to guangzhou fu in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the Xinhai Revolution belonged to Yuehai Road, which was abandoned on 1920. Shunde was successively subordinate to the Guangdong Provincial Government of the Kuomintang regime, the Office of the Central District appeasement Committee and the Office of the First Administrative Inspector and Instructor. 19491On October 28th, Shunde was liberated and the China People's Liberation Army was stationed in Shunde. 1910.30, Rong (Qi) Gen (Liang Da) Military Control Committee was established. On March 20th, 1950, Shunde County People's Government was formally established, and it was subordinate to the Pearl River Administrative Office. 1955 Shunde county people's Committee was established, which belongs to the administrative office of central Guangdong. 1958, Shunde and Panyu counties merged and renamed Fanshun County, which belonged to Foshan area. 1June, 959, the organizational system of Shunde and Panyu counties was restored, and Shunde still belongs to Foshan area. 1968 Established Shunde County Revolutionary Committee, which belongs to Foshan District. 1980, Shunde county people's government was restored, and it was subordinate to Foshan area. 1June, 983, Foshan area was revoked and belonged to Foshan city. 1On March 26th, 992, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved Shunde's withdrawal from the county to establish the city. On April 30th, Shunde Municipal People's Government was formally established, and the history of Shunde turned a new page. 1On July 27, 1999, the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government officially approved the idea of determining Shunde as the first pilot city to basically realize modernization, and agreed that under the premise of keeping the current county-level organizational system in Shunde unchanged, all other economic, social and cultural affairs will still be entrusted to Foshan City except the current management authority of the Party Committee, discipline inspection, supervision, courts, procuratorates and other systems and the national vertical management departments. On June 8, 2003, it was merged into Foshan City and became the jurisdiction of Foshan City. Whether the merger is correct and conforms to the law of economic development has been debated endlessly. On August 17, 2009, the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government officially approved that Shunde District of Foshan City should continue to carry out comprehensive reform experiments with the implementation of Scientific Outlook on Development as the core. It is approved that under the premise of maintaining the current organizational system in Shunde District, all other economic, social and cultural affairs are handed over to Shunde District to exercise the management authority of prefecture-level cities, except for the party committee, discipline inspection, supervision, court and procuratorate system and matters that need unified and coordinated management in the whole city. On April 20 10, with the coordination of the land and planning departments of Guangdong Province and the consent of the provincial government, the management committee of Hengqin New District of Zhuhai City recovered all the state-owned land use rights in Shunde District, Foshan City, the central ditch of Qin Heng Island.
