1978 In May, the Academic Committee of Earthquake Engineering was established in Xuzhou, with the number of participants 193, and 93 papers were received. 198/kloc-0 held an academic conference in Wuxi in February, with 76 participants and more than 50 papers received. The contents mainly include the following aspects: seismic design theory and calculation method, rural building seismic resistance, seismic strengthening technology, and seismic test research of engineering structures. From June 65438 to June 0984, the Earthquake Office of the Ministry of Construction entrusted the Earthquake Research Institute of China Institute of Building Research and its branch to hold a seminar on urban earthquake resistance and disaster prevention. At the seminar, the topics such as earthquake risk analysis, earthquake zoning, lifeline engineering earthquake resistance, earthquake damage prediction and engineering decision-making were reported, and the situation in China was introduced. 1984 1 1 the second plenary meeting of the Committee and the symposium on urban earthquake resistance and disaster prevention were held in Huangshan, attended by 97 people and received more than 40 papers. 1984, the national earthquake engineering conference was held in Shanghai jointly with seismological society of china. The domestic conference was named "Summary of Experience in Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Prevention of Tangshan Earthquake 10 Anniversary and the Eighth National Conference on Earthquake Prevention", and the conference published "Essays on Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Prevention in China", with about 90 papers. The main contents include: seismic work summary, seismic risk analysis and zoning, site foundation and foundation seismic resistance, structural seismic calculation method and reliability, industrial and civil buildings seismic resistance, seismic identification and reinforcement, bridges and hydraulic buildings seismic resistance, pipeline derrick blast furnace and silo structure seismic resistance, test facilities and technology; The international conference is called "Seminar on Urban Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Prevention", and Japan, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Algeria, Egypt and other countries participated in the conference. The meeting mainly discussed the experience and lessons of Tangshan earthquake disaster prevention, seismic identification and reinforcement of building structures, seismic design of building structures and public facilities, research and development direction of earthquake engineering and international cooperation. The second national symposium on earthquake engineering was held in Wuhan on June 5438, 0987. The conference was published by Japan, and the fourth conference was held in Qingdao in 2003 10. 1998 10 the fifth national conference on earthquake engineering was held in Beijing. The meeting discussed the issues of comprehensive earthquake prevention and strong earthquake ground motion, earthquake damage investigation, site effect and foundation earthquake resistance, earthquake-resistant technology of cities and enterprises, earthquake response of building structures, earthquake-resistant design, construction, appraisal, reinforcement and reconstruction of building structures, earthquake resistance of major projects, lifeline and equipment, and isolation and reconstruction of engineering structures. 1999110 held an academic report meeting in Nanjing in October, and invited some experts in the field of earthquake resistance to give a detailed report on the latest theory and practice of earthquake resistance, with nearly 100 participants. In August 2000, a national academic seminar was held in Kunming. The contents of the seminar mainly focus on the related issues in the fourth chapter of the newly revised Code for Seismic Design of Buildings. Sixty people attended the seminar and submitted seven special reports. The meeting published the supplement of "Engineering Earthquake Resistance" and published 7 papers/kloc-0. In September 2000, a seminar on modern earthquake engineering was held in Lanzhou, with more than 100 participants. This conference made an in-depth summary and exchange on the harm of major earthquakes at home and abroad to cities and towns in recent years, and published more than 20 papers, which were published in three issues by the magazine of Engineering Earthquake Resistance. 200 1, 1 held a small expert seminar in Beijing, attended by more than 20 people, mainly focusing on the relevant provisions of "fracture engineering impact assessment" added in the new code, which laid the foundation for the finalization of these provisions. The 6th National Earthquake Engineering Conference was held in Nanjing from June 5th to1October 6th, 2002. At this conference, strong earthquake observation, ground motion and earthquake damage, site and foundation, structural seismic response analysis, structural seismic design, appraisal, reinforcement and reconstruction, theory and application of isolation and vibration control, structural state detection and health diagnosis of engineering, lifeline engineering and major engineering earthquake resistance, and seismic test technology and structural test research were officially published. During 1998 and 2000, I worked in Shantou and Hangzhou Research Committee respectively for academic exchange. 1999 and 200 1 held large-scale academic seminars in Dalian and Nanning respectively. More than 100 people participated in both seminars, and more than 50 papers were exchanged each time, all of which were published.
