China Agricultural University is the leader of the collaboration group in the field of agricultural engineering of the National Master of Engineering Education Steering Committee and the collaboration group in the field of agricultural mechanization of the National Master of Agricultural Extension Education Steering Committee. The leaders of the collaboration group are all professors from the Institute of Technology. Starting from 1999, the Institute of Technology began to recruit professional degree graduates in the fields of "agricultural engineering" and "mechanical engineering" in 2000. At present, the number of fields that can recruit professional degree graduates has been expanded to six, and more than 200 professional degree graduates have been trained, all of which have played a prominent role in their own work. Among them, Yin, secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, is particularly prominent. Li Yuntao, currently vice president of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhang Laiyang Agricultural College; Shao Changyong, General Manager and Party Secretary of Shandong Seed Company; Fang Xianzhang is currently the Chief Engineer of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Minister of Science and Technology Industry Development. All cooperative units generally report that after the training in our institute, employees' engineering practice ability and innovation consciousness have been enhanced, they are good at accepting and transforming new technologies, their comprehensive quality has been generally improved, and they can quickly grow into technical backbones or excellent management talents.

The Institute of Technology has four departments, namely, Agricultural Engineering Department, Vehicle and Traffic Engineering Department, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Department and Electromechanical Engineering Department, as well as several scientific research institutions, such as Agricultural Mechanization Development Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Conservation Tillage Technology Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Modern Agricultural Equipment and Facilities Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education. It has two first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees in agricultural engineering and mechanical engineering, five doctoral programs and eight master programs in agricultural mechanization engineering, mechanical design and theory. In the triennial evaluation of the overall level of national first-class disciplines, agricultural engineering disciplines ranked first in 2003 and 2006. The Institute of Technology has a strong faculty, including 30 professors and 55 associate professors, including academicians/kloc-0 of China Academy of Engineering. There are 29 doctoral supervisors and 50 master supervisors.

The Department of Agricultural Engineering is based on the first-class discipline of national agricultural engineering and two two disciplines cities of agricultural mechanization engineering and agricultural product processing and storage engineering, among which agricultural mechanization engineering is the national key discipline.

The Department of Agricultural Engineering has five postgraduate training centers for agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanization engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing and theory, agricultural products processing and storage engineering and agricultural equipment engineering, and four doctoral training centers for agricultural engineering, agricultural equipment engineering and agricultural mechanization engineering, which has trained a large number of academic leaders and backbone for the whole country. Among them, the subject of agricultural mechanization engineering has been included in the second phase of "2 1 1" project.

There are 50 faculty members in the department, including academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering 1 person, 2 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding national contributions and 8 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding ministerial contributions. Professor 17, associate professor18; Among the teachers, master's degree or above accounts for 58%, and doctoral degree accounts for 30%.

This department undertakes more than 30 national "863", "Ninth Five-Year Plan", "Tenth Five-Year Plan", National Natural Science Foundation, "948", international cooperation and other vertical and horizontal projects/kloc-0, with research funding of more than 45 million yuan. He has won 25 national, provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, 5 teaching achievement awards, 35 patents and published more than 600 papers, including more than 50 articles retrieved by five universities including SCI, EI and ISTP, and more than 40 monographs and teaching materials. At present, there are more than 50 scientific research projects under research, and the research funding is more than 6 million yuan.
