Journal of American Economic Association Organization
The American Economic Review (AER) was founded in 19 1 1. In March, June, September and 65438+February every year, economic papers and short comments are published in major journals. In May each year, the papers and agenda of the annual meeting of the Society are published, and the papers and comments made at the meeting, as well as the reports of relevant officials, members and representatives are published. No longer publish the text version of the membership survey (the last issue was published in 1997). On the contrary, the electronic version of the membership directory, which is regularly updated, contains profiles of the members of the Institute.

1963, the society began to host and publish the quarterly economic summary, which later developed into the journal of economic literature (JEL) of 1969 and became the official publication of the society, published in March, June, September and 65438+February every year. JEL publishes reviews or research articles, book reviews and new book introductions by discipline, and there is also an electronic (text-free) economic journal index. JEL has a text version, a CD-ROM version and an online version, in which the CD-ROM version includes all periodical indexes and abstracts listed in the Economic Literature Database (EconLit).

1August, 1987, the Institute published the magazine of Economic Outlook (JEP), which was published in February, May, August and165438+1October every year. JEP is committed to providing economists with reports and comments on recent research results, evaluating public policies and providing insightful readers for teaching. JEP editors expect their magazines to spread the current economic research topics to the public sector and industrial and commercial enterprises outside the academic circle. The editorial department is responsible for receiving and publishing articles. Before the official publication of the journal of the Institute, members can obtain its electronic version through the Internet. There are back issues and JSTOR links of various periodicals on the website of the Society, and members can log in with passwords.
