As an indispensable part of quality education in private primary schools, school physical education is one of the important standards to measure the overall work of private schools. As the core of school physical education, school physical education is the basic way to realize the goals and tasks of school physical education. The role of high-quality physical education in implementing the educational policy of all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor in private primary schools and improving the quality of running schools cannot be underestimated. Therefore, understanding the current situation of PE teaching in private primary schools in Tianhe District is of practical significance for improving the level of physical education class, deepening the reform of PE teaching, improving the quality of PE teaching and implementing quality education. Over the years, although many domestic scholars have done a lot of research on the sports situation of schools at all levels, the specific research on private primary schools is rare. Therefore, through the basic situation of physical education (and health) teaching in private primary schools in Tianhe District, this paper reveals the present situation, characteristics and existing problems of physical education teaching in private primary schools in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and puts forward corresponding improvement countermeasures, aiming at improving the physical education teaching quality and overall teaching level of private primary schools in Tianhe District and promoting the reform and development of physical education teaching in private primary schools.

First, Tianhe District, private primary school physical education status and problems

(A) schools only pay attention to the enrollment rate, ignoring physical education.

Through interviews, I know that the enrollment rate is still the first in private primary schools in Tianhe District, and the strength of a school is not only measured by the enrollment rate, but also by the teaching effect of a teacher. But in fact, the enrollment rate and test scores have always been the baton of the whole society and school administrators. This view is particularly prominent in rural areas, and schools that do well in the exam are both famous and profitable. Under such strong pressure, school administrators have to pay close attention to the enrollment rate and teachers' test scores. Teachers who have performed well in the secondary (primary) examination or the final unified examination are the backbone teachers of the school. They not only receive the bonus of the unified examination, but also have unconditional priority in job evaluation and promotion. Under the baton that school administrators only pay attention to exam results, physical education has become a dispensable course.

(B) the teacher appointment system is unreasonable, resulting in an imbalance in the construction of physical education teachers' capital team.

First of all, the status of teachers is one of the important factors affecting the development of physical education in private schools in Tianhe District. As the leader of education, teachers' professional ability directly determines the quality of the educated. The coexistence of the overall saturation of teachers and the actual shortage of physical education teachers is an important factor affecting the development of physical education teaching activities in schools. According to the investigation, many rural schools have a serious tendency to test subject teachers in the appointment of teachers. In many schools, there is a phenomenon that the subject teachers are overstaffed. Many teachers in some schools have fewer courses and fewer class hours. However, the serious shortage of PE teachers is also a reality that we have to face. In the survey, we found that many schools are short of physical education teachers, and school leaders tend to recruit so-called examination subject teachers and main subject teachers. On the one hand, in order to reduce financial expenditure and staffing, many private schools have few physical education teachers, which makes it difficult to meet the teaching needs. In this case, school leaders should first ensure the teaching of the main subjects, so as to maintain the enrollment rate and continuously improve the teaching quality. Naturally, the number of non-examination subjects in schools is controlled, and the strength of physical education teachers is relatively insufficient, resulting in insufficient positions.

Secondly, the professional ability of PE teachers is not strong. For example, many primary schools have only one or two full-time PE teachers, while many other primary schools have no PE teachers at all, so they can only be part-time teachers (older teachers in primary school Chinese and math subjects are unqualified) or substitute teachers. With the implementation of the new physical education curriculum, teachers themselves have not "recharged" in time, and physical education teaching is stylized, unitary and rigid, so it is impossible to implement quality education at all.

(3) There are problems in the content, organization, methods and functions of physical education.

So far, the state has promulgated six sets of primary school physical education syllabus, all of which take competitive sports as the main teaching content and technical teaching as the main purpose. This kind of school physical education teaching content, which focuses on competitive sports, does not meet the goal of physical education teaching in primary schools, nor does it meet the psychological characteristics of students, and cannot stimulate students' interest in participation. Students are always in a mechanically passive coping learning mentality, unable to tap their own sports potential to enhance their physique.

At the same time, physical education in private primary schools in Tianhe District is generally organized by teaching classes. In a teaching class, students receive the same education, but because of their personality differences in physical condition, sports ability, social environment, psychological quality, understanding and attitude towards sports, they study and practice in a unified organizational form, overemphasizing personality and ignoring personality requirements. In addition, private primary schools in Tianhe District still can't get rid of the shadow of traditional teaching mode in physical education teaching methods.

In the teaching process, the teaching used by teachers is rigid and inflexible, always sticking to some rules and regulations, overemphasizing unity, serious classroom atmosphere and tense bilateral relationship between teachers and students, which can not improve the teaching quality and achieve the expected results. Traditional physical education teaching is still teacher-centered, students are always in a passive learning state, and teaching objectives are specified by teachers and implemented by students; Organizational teaching method is designed by teachers, followed by students mechanically, and every step of the program is operated by students according to teachers' instructions. Students are completely passive and obedient, which obliterates their personality and hinders their thinking and creation.

Second, the problems existing in PE teaching in private primary schools in Tianhe District.

(A) leaders attach great importance to strengthening the propaganda of correct sports concepts.
