Qi Mei (1585— 1645) was born in Changzhou, Suzhou, South Zhili in the late Ming Dynasty. Born in an official and scholarly family. Great-great-grandfather Wen Zhiming was an official in imperial academy, a great calligrapher and painter, as well as Shen Zhou, Tang Yin and Chou Ying. Grandfather Wen Peng, Dr. imperial academy, is famous for his calligraphy, painting and seal cutting. Father Wen Yuanfa, official to Wei Hui Tongzhi; Wen is the history of the Ministry of Rites and a college student (prime minister) in Dongting, and he won the top prize. Wen Zhenheng graduated from imperial academy in the first year of the apocalypse (162 1). He paid tribute for five years, and Chongzhen was awarded Longzhou punishment for ten years. In the name of Qin and Shu, he was banned and Wu Shu was awarded instead. He committed several crimes of supporting Lindong party member, but he was pardoned because my brother took part in the election. When Huang Daozhou angered Chongzhen in prison, he was imprisoned for his involvement, and was released and reinstated a year or two later. Chongzhen hanged himself in March, 1644. After the Ming Dynasty, the Qing soldiers captured Suzhou in June. 1645, he fled to Yangcheng Lake and threw himself into the lake. Although he was treated, he died of hunger strike and vomiting blood for six days. Zi (1899— 1989) is a famous horticulturist and forester in China. I studied at Imperial University in Tokyo, Japan, and returned to China after graduation 1922. He has been a professor of forestry department in universities such as Jinling, Huazhong, Yunnan and Zhongshan. Dean of Agricultural College of Henan University, etc. After liberation, he successively served as a professor at Nanchang University, Huazhong University and Nanjing Forestry College, specializing in landscape architecture, greening and its historical inheritance. All his monographs and papers were published, which laid the foundation of landscape architecture and made great achievements in the study of the history of landscape architecture in China, with far-reaching influence at home and abroad.
