Gansu Police Vocational College is a full-time public security higher vocational college with the approval of Gansu Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Education and People's Republic of China (PRC).

The college, formerly known as Gansu People's Public Security School, was founded in September 1949. 1978 was called Gansu provincial public security school after it resumed running. 1980 was renamed as Gansu provincial people's police school, and was upgraded to Gansu police vocational college with the approval of Gansu provincial people's government in July 2000/0.
