Development and characteristics of knowledge economy
Knowledge economy is based on the production, distribution and use of knowledge and information. The development of human society depends on the progress of productivity, and the improvement of productivity depends on the accumulation of knowledge about the objective world and the subjective world. Judging from the history of economic development, we can divide economic forms into agricultural economy, industrial economy and knowledge economy. The deepening of knowledge has promoted the development of history and changed the mode of production of mankind.
The biggest difference between the characteristics of knowledge economy and previous economic forms is that the prosperity of knowledge economy does not directly depend on the quantity, scale and increment of resources, capital and hardware technology, but directly depends on the accumulation and utilization of knowledge or effective information. The foundation of knowledge economy is the increasingly developed information industry, which will become the mainstream of future economy. It emphasizes digitalization, networking and intelligence of products and services, and advocates agile manufacturing and mass production of personalized goods. It is an economy that can produce and serve effectively according to users' needs.
