Candidates from Chinese mainland who take the Cambridge Children's English Test must bring valid certificates, that is, the original China People's Identity Card or temporary id card. According to the Law of the People's Republic of China on Resident Identity Cards, any resident, regardless of age, can apply for an identity card at the local police station. The hukou can't be used for exams.
