What should I do if I get gallbladder polyps?
Treatment and prevention of gallbladder polyps;

Polyposis of gallbladder is not uncommon in clinic. Surgery is a radical method, but not all gallbladder diseases need surgical treatment. Because of the different types and sizes of lesions, the prognosis of diseases is also different, so the surgical indications are also different.

Timing of operation: polypoid lesions of gallbladder are sometimes difficult to determine before operation. According to the high risk factors of the possibility of malignant transformation of polypoid lesions of gallbladder, we propose the following surgical indications:

(1) Single lesion, larger than 10mm, with thick pedicle, especially in the neck of gallbladder, aged over 50 years. (2) Multiple lesions, accompanied by gallstones, with symptoms, aged over 50 years old. (3) Single lesion, less than 10mm, asymptomatic, younger than 50 years old, allowing observation and follow-up; If the lesion increases or changes in shape, surgery is needed. (4) Doppler ultrasound showed that the blood supply of the lesion was abundant, suggesting that it was a malignant new organism. (5)CEA (tumor marker), the measured value was significantly increased and other gastrointestinal tumors were excluded. (6) Polypoid lesions of gallbladder with obvious symptoms and recurrent attacks. (7) asymptomatic patients with diameter less than 5mm should be followed up for 3 ~ 5 months. Once the lesion is enlarged or the symptoms are obvious, surgery is needed.

In recent years, non-surgical and traditional Chinese medicine treatment of gallbladder polyposis has aroused widespread concern in the medical field. Various remedies, prescriptions and prescriptions have achieved certain results in diminishing inflammation, benefiting gallbladder, controlling cholecystitis and gallbladder polyps, and the specific drugs for gallbladder polyps have also made great achievements. With the in-depth study of traditional Chinese medicine, the cure rate of non-surgical treatment of gallbladder polyps is also increasing rapidly.
