First, set a key. War stories in 800 tells a magical change that happened in a real event. The film contains the truth that the director thinks, the humanity that the director thinks and the spirit that the director understands. The end result is that the negative label that gives the character authenticity becomes particularly deliberate. Few characters really shine with true humanity. Because they don't exist. Therefore, if we objectively evaluate this shaping method, my opinion is that it may not be suitable for the main theme. This way of shaping does not mean that our films cannot exist. When investigating the theme of small pattern, small people and non-mainstream values, we admit that there are people with any personality in this world, so we should shape people with any personality. But these things are really not suitable for the main theme at all, because the higher meaning of the main theme is to talk about the confrontation between two or more positions and beliefs except each other. While shaping people, they are also shaping positions. The characters created by Babel did not bring much sense of reality and credibility to the story, but brought something corresponding to it. In other words, it is very inconsistent with the expectations of people who really understand movies for the main theme movies.
