(1) stubborn. Liu Yuxi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, is very stubborn and has a spirit of recognizing the truth and never looking back. His long-term relegation has not changed his political stance, which can be reflected in his poetic style. Many of his poems are sharp and sarcastic, aiming at the powerful jesters of today's dynasties. After being demoted for ten years, he was recalled to Chang 'an. When he was watching peach blossoms in Xuandu, he wrote a poem "Yuanhe was called to Beijing from Langzhou for ten years to give a play to a gentleman who looks at flowers", saying that "Xuandu has thousands of peach blossoms, and Liu Lang went to plant them later". The moral is self-evident: nowadays, those upstarts who are full of ambition are superficial and have no real talent and learning, just like frivolous peach blossoms, which I made up after Liu Lang was driven out of Chang 'an. The poem "sarcasm" offended those powerful people, so he was banished to Lianzhou a few days after returning to Beijing, and returned to Chang 'an 14 years later. He came to Xuanduguan again, deeply touched, and his stubborn spirit came up again. He wrote a poem "Visit Xuanduguan again", saying that "a hundred acres of courtyard is half covered with moss, and peach blossoms bloom. Where does Taoism return? Liu Lang came again today. " This poem is a continuation of the last one, but its satire is more pungent than the last one. The peach blossoms that once filled the garden have now been replaced by a weed. Where did the nouveau riche who were proud of it go now? I, Liu Lang, who was reviled in those years, didn't come back today? This poem is full of contempt for the enemy and indomitable spirit of struggle.
(2) Resolutely and boldly. Liu Yuxi is resolute and full of heroic spirit. During his years in exile, he really felt heavy psychological depression and sang a series of lonely songs. But he never despairs, and always beats the soul of a fighter; He wrote poems such as Inviting Langzhou Peking Opera as a Gift to a Flower-Watching Gentleman in Yuanhe Decade, Revisiting the Guanjueju, Catching Your Tongue, Gathering Mosquitoes, Flying Kites, and On Hua Tuo, which repeatedly satirized and attacked political enemies, resulting in repeated political repression and blows, but such repression and blows aroused his stronger anger. He commented on himself in "Zhu Qiao Mountain Meeting Zen Master": "I am from Shandong, and I have felt a lot in my life". This kind of "emotion" not only increases the charm of his poems, but also greatly enriches the depth and intensity of his poems. The resolute character also makes Liu Yuxi's poetry style quite unique. Tang Yin commented on Gui Qian, "Yu Xi has the eye of a poet. His poems should be modern, his words are always plain, his applications seem extraordinary, but they are all satisfactory, his language can be sung, and his talent is the most proud. " .
(3) be proud for a lifetime. "The Book of the New Tang Dynasty" commented on Liu Yuxi, saying: "Yuxi relies on talent and wastes it, but he can't complain and can't expect it. He can benefit from it every year, so he can adapt himself to the article." Su Shi's poems are good, especially in the Evening Festival, and Bai Juyi has a lot of rewards. In the name of poetry, Juyi praised him as a "poet" and added: "His poems should be protected by the gods. Uncle Wen's practical words govern the country well, and he can impress people with oral arguments, which is useful and not taken seriously. I have been ill for too long, so I can't be right. The palace is mysterious, and the work has been finished. From right to wrong, the credit goes to your minister. " Liu Yuxi's pride in talents can also be seen from Bai Juyi's evaluation of him, "He is a man who dares to be less."
