Belt and Road Situation and Policy Document
Promote the coordinated and balanced development of regional economy in China.

The imbalance of regional development is one of the most prominent structural contradictions in China's economic development at this stage. The strategic layout of the "Belt and Road" covers "two cores, two hubs, seven highlands, 15 ports and 18 provinces", and the positioning and tasks of the eastern and western regions and provinces are also different. The whole idea can be said to truly reflect the strategic idea of making overall use of two domestic and foreign markets and resources, taking the opening strategy as the guide, mobilizing and integrating domestic resources, and optimizing the overall layout of opening up. The article starts from abroad and starts at home.

The strategic concept of "One Belt, One Road" will help to promote the construction of international corridors and international economic cooperation corridors on land and at sea, relying on land transportation trunk lines and maritime port hubs, and provide more space for the transfer of factors and industries in the eastern region. The "Belt and Road" strategy connects the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Rim, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other open frontiers and economic centers in eastern China. Through the construction of the new channel, the most advantageous part of China's economy will be linked with the most potential and strength part of the world economy, which will provide new growth space for China's accumulated industrial capacity in manufacturing and infrastructure construction, thus providing new support for building a new pattern of gradient development in China and promoting balanced and coordinated regional development.
