Founded in 195 1, the School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is one of the largest colleges in Shandong University of Science and Technology. After nearly 50 years of hard work and academic accumulation, we have achieved fruitful results in discipline construction, personnel training, scientific research and social services.
The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has seven teaching departments, 15 laboratory and 16 research institute. The discipline covers three first-class disciplines, namely, mechanical engineering discipline, instrument science and technology discipline and thermal energy and power engineering discipline. It has four doctoral programs in mechanical and electronic engineering, mechanical design and theory, mining equipment and control engineering, surveying and mapping instruments and systems. There are 10 master majors: mechanical manufacturing and automation, mechanical and electronic engineering, mechanical design and theory, precision instruments and machinery, measuring technology and instruments, fluid machinery and engineering, vehicle engineering, thermal energy engineering, power machinery and engineering, and mine equipment and control engineering. Among them, the three master's majors of measurement technology and instrument, mechanical design and theory, and mechanical and electronic engineering can accept applications for granting master's degrees with equivalent academic qualifications. Master of Engineering has two authorized fields: mechanical engineering and instrumentation engineering. There are eight undergraduate majors: mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, material forming and control engineering, industrial design, process equipment and control engineering, measurement and control technology and instruments, thermal energy and power engineering and logistics engineering, and vehicle engineering. Excellent graduates of all undergraduate majors can be recommended to study for a master's degree without examination. There are laboratories with advanced equipment in all disciplines, among which the transportation and upgrading laboratory is the key laboratory in Shandong Province.
There are 2303 students in the college, including 58 doctoral students/kloc-0.
Faculty 138, including 22 professors, 29 associate professors, 3 senior engineers and 5 senior experimenters. There are 6 doctoral tutors, 36 graduate tutors, 8 top-notch professional and technical personnel at the provincial and ministerial levels, and 2 people enjoy special government allowances. Among the teachers, there are 19 people who have obtained doctoral degrees, including 6 postdoctoral students and 23 on-the-job doctoral students. Young teachers have basically obtained master's degrees.
The college has strong comprehensive advantages in basic research, applied research, scientific and technological development, interdisciplinary and so on. It has formed its own characteristics in the fields of mechatronics, application software, intelligent robots, instrumentation, process control, vibration control, electro-hydraulic servo control, computer integrated manufacturing system, CAD/CAM, virtual prototype and virtual manufacturing. The College of Geo-Information Science and Engineering (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Geo-Information) consists of five departments 1 center: Surveying and Mapping Science and Engineering Department, Geological Science and Engineering Department, Geographic Science and Information Engineering Department, Remote Sensing Science and Technology Department, Geophysical and Hydrological Engineering Department and Experimental Center. Faculty 100, including academician of China Academy of Sciences 1 00, 2 foreign academicians of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 28 doctoral supervisors (including guests 12), 6 top-notch professionals at provincial and ministerial levels, 25 professors, and 2 associate professors (including senior experimenters)100, with doctoral degrees. A team of teachers with high academic level, reasonable age structure and great development potential has been formed. The college also hired a number of high-level experts, including academicians of the two academies and well-known experts at home and abroad, as part-time professors.
At present, Shandong Province has 1 key discipline: geodesy and surveying engineering, 1 first-class discipline: surveying and mapping science and technology. Seven doctoral programs are distributed in geodesy and surveying engineering, cartography and geographic information engineering, photogrammetry and remote sensing, mineral investigation and exploration, surveying instruments and systems, urban and rural cadastre and land information, resource and environmental evaluation, and digital mines. (Another first-class doctoral program in geological engineering and geological exploration is being publicized, including three second-class doctoral programs). There are six master's programs: geodesy and surveying engineering, cartography and geographic information engineering, photogrammetry and remote sensing, mineral investigation and exploration, earth exploration and information technology, stratigraphy and paleontology. There are 7 undergraduate majors: surveying and mapping engineering, geological engineering, geographic information system, resource environment and urban and rural planning and management, hydrology and water resources engineering, geophysics, remote sensing science and technology. At present, there are 0/665 undergraduate students, 238 master students and 50 doctoral students.
In recent years, the teaching quality of the college has been steadily improved, with multimedia teaching and bilingual teaching in many courses, the establishment of 14 teaching practice base, the strengthening of foreign exchanges and joint running of schools, and the cooperation in teaching and research with scientific research and production units such as the Institute of Geography, the Institute of Remote Sensing, the Institute of Surveying and Mapping, the Shandong Provincial Department of Land and Resources, the General Research Institute of Coal Science, Yankuang Group and Shengli Petroleum Administration Bureau. Academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with international organizations such as Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Australia and the United States, FIG (International Association of Surveyors) and ISM (International Association of Mine Surveys). In terms of scientific research, research on new theories and technologies is carried out in an all-round way, and theoretical issues such as dynamic least square method theory, pattern recognition, morbid data processing theory, data quality analysis and control, and application technologies such as GPS positioning and intelligent navigation, GIS system development and electronic map making, and remote sensing image processing and application are carried out around 3S technology. In-depth research has been carried out in the fields of paleontology and stratigraphy, oil and gas, hydrology and water resources, mine geology and so on. , and undertook the national "863" project, the national natural science foundation project, the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" project, international cooperation projects, major scientific and technological projects in Shandong Province and sub-projects of several "863" and "973" projects, and achieved a number of high-quality scientific research achievements and won the second prize of the national scientific and technological progress.
