Wu Cheng'en's personal data
Wu Cheng'en (1506- 1582) was born in Shanyang County, Huai 'an (now Huai 'an District, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province), and Wu Cheng'en's father Wu Congan moved to Gaoyian, Tongcheng County, Anqing City, Huai 'an. Its representative is The Journey to the West.

Wu Cheng'en wrote a lot in his life, but most of his works were lost because of his poor family and childless. According to records, The Tales of a Lonely Studio Ding Yu Ji has been lost. Wu Cheng'en's grandnephew, Du Qiu, collected his only remaining manuscripts, only "11 thousand copies", and compiled four volumes of Sheyang's First Survival Draft, including one volume of poetry and three volumes of prose.
