Guru: It means that trouble is bodhi.
? Q: Excuse me, guru, what was the standard of dzogchen's initial awakening? Was it dzogchen's initial consciousness to find the nature and truth of Buddha in his thoughts?
Guru: dzogchen's initial consciousness was what Zen said. There is both theoretical understanding and personal experience, so it is also a preliminary enlightenment.
? Q: There is a case. When Tathagata was in an emergency, he went out one morning and the sun shone in front of him. He suddenly fainted and completely lost consciousness. When he wakes up from this state, the venerable master doesn't know how to practice. He used to have a repairable method, but now he doesn't know how or what to repair. Later, he reported this state to the wise, the sad and the honorable. He said that this is a true opinion, which is called shedding.
The question is, is this awareness of Tathagata the awareness of seeing the Tao? Has consciousness been transformed into wisdom?
Guru: It is difficult for us to measure the consciousness of these gurus, and we don't know. He may be the realm of Buddha or the realm of Bodhisattva. Anything is possible. There is no way to know this.
However, for example, if a person suddenly realizes the true state of dzogchen, or the state of meditation, and walks out of this meditation, there is no so-called concept of cultivation. It means he doesn't know how to fix it, so it's possible. For example, we take a nap, sleep deeply, and don't know where we are lying when we wake up. That's it.
Q: If you are enlightened by the Tao, do you have to go through such a process of falling off?
Guru: For example, when he is enlightened, the realm of enlightenment is very strong. After that, when he comes out of this realm, he may temporarily lose the so-called concepts of practice, certification and becoming a Buddha, because these are all concepts in secular truth. After returning to real life, there will be these concepts, but in his enlightened realm, there will definitely be no such concepts.
So, when this feeling of enlightenment is deep, you may feel this way for a while. But the word shedding is not very clear. Anyway, this feeling should be there.
? Q: Excuse me, guru, will you close your door after enlightenment?
Guru: Whether you will retreat after enlightenment depends on the degree of enlightenment. The initial enlightenment will turn back.
For example, when we are studying in dzogchen, we sometimes feel a little enlightened, but it is not difficult. In particular, it is possible to realize a little bit of dzogchen's state for a period of time, if you do well in your progress, or if you have enough confidence in dzogchen's Buddhism and guru, even though you have not done well in your progress. But this situation is very easy to get lost for several reasons.
The first reason is that his foundation is not solid. Accurately speaking, BEA Canada has not repaired it. The other one, after he realized it, didn't continue to repair it seriously. For example, he was busy doing other things, so this consciousness might soon disappear. These dzogchen books are very clear.
Q: What is the relationship between kowtowing to the guru, enlightenment and bodhicitta?
Guru: What does it matter? There are many relationships. For example, practicing bodhicitta first is of great help to enlightenment, because with bodhicitta, many evils can be purified naturally; Then with bodhicitta, you can naturally accumulate a lot of food. The accumulation of wealth and the purification of evil are two direct factors of enlightenment, so this relationship is one of them.
In addition, after enlightenment, the realm of enlightenment is of great help to the growth of bodhicitta, which is also a relationship.
? Q: Excuse me, guru, if you have found the truth in your mind, but this moment only exists in a very short time when you have an idea, how can you continue to extend the time to the truth?
Guru: After enlightenment, you should continue to meditate and practice. Then, throw away other things as much as possible, such as Si Wen and some Buddhist things, first throw away, then specialize and deepen. After that, when the state of consciousness reaches a certain point, it is not easy to retreat. Otherwise, although enlightened, it is easy to retreat when busy with other things. So keep practicing at this time.
For example, when a bodhisattva is in a place, it is called seeing Tao, which is a high level of consciousness. But after enlightenment, there are still 2,345,678,90, which need to be repaired step by step.
Therefore, enlightenment is the beginning, not the end. After enlightenment, I really want to start practicing. The practice after enlightenment can be regarded as a relatively standardized practice.
