As we all know, China is rich in ancient culture. As an existing form of ancient culture, the influence of ancient art on modern design can be imagined. The clothes we usually wear, the jewelry we wear, the means of transportation we take, the city we live in and the buildings we build in the city are all related to ancient art. In recent years, we have been saying the word "retro", and retro styles are popular in streets and alleys. Today, with the development of modern civilization, I have to reflect and can't look back at the essence of ancient culture. It is undeniable that the beauty of ancient art has extended its existence value for thousands of years. The ancients had stricter requirements for beauty, more exquisite and more original, so they had a wonderful saying. I went to Beijing to play in the winter vacation, visited the factories and workshops in Jingdelan, and lamented that there was still a trace of art handed down by the ancients. After thousands of years of killing and precipitation, what remains today must be the most perfect. Rodin, a great sculptor, once said, "There is no beauty in life, but there is a lack of eyes to find beauty". While human beings are developing themselves, they are also improving themselves and achieving themselves. Beauty is an inevitable trend that everyone pursues.
Analyzing all aspects of ancient art here, I think it is really difficult to say tens of thousands of words. Here, I will talk about the influence of ancient China art on the current design according to my favorite ceramics and architecture.
The Influence of China Ancient Ceramics on Modern Design
China's ceramic industry has a long history, which can be traced back to the Neolithic Age 7000-8000 years ago. At first it was because of the storage of grain and the treatment of drinking water. Later, people gradually discovered many excellent properties of ceramics, such as fire resistance and cooking. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the ceramic industry was relatively mature, and porcelain gradually replaced silk as a new symbol of Chinese civilization, which has far-reaching historical significance. The following is a brief analysis of the influence of China ancient ceramics on modern design from the aspects of materials, patterns, colors, sculptures and lamps, according to my understanding of ceramics:
(1) ceramic material
Ancient ceramic materials are widely used in furniture design. Many furniture designers integrate ceramic elements into furniture design. This is a very creative design, which not only meets the aesthetic needs of orientals, but also arouses great interest of westerners. Most of them use ceramic materials to design artistic surface decoration in furniture design, which has actually inspired modern design, such as local surface decoration in mosaic form and local application in tables, chairs and cabinets. Furniture parts are decorated in the form of handles, blades, casters and other accessories. In addition, they are also widely used in household items such as lamps, vases and tableware, creating a harmonious beauty for modern home life.
(2) Ceramic decoration
Ornaments refer to things painted on the surface of ceramics, which has been said since the invention of ceramics in the Neolithic Age. They are decorative effects of ceramics. With the continuous development, the original firing method was later replaced by glaze, which also had a certain impact on the development of glazed ceramics today. The lotus in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the peony in the Tang Dynasty and the plum blossom in the Song Dynasty are all very representative and are the characteristics of the times at that time. Many patterns of decorative patterns are still widely used, such as various figures, fish, cranes, chickens, etc., and will still be widely used in modern life and arts and crafts. Talking about the influence of decorative patterns on modern design, I want to talk about the origin of dragons: dragons originated in the early Neolithic age, and primitive ancestors did not simply and passively rely on God's gifts, but gradually settled down to engage in production activities. Production activities make nature, as an incredible force other than human beings, have more and more influence on people's spiritual world. As a worship phenomenon and an understanding of incredible natural forces, the dragon began its "fuzzy collection" from this time: the "dragon sculpture" unearthed from the site of Chahaiyuan Village in Fuxin, Liaoning, the pottery dragon pattern unearthed from Xinglong Valley in Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia, the painted pottery dragon pattern unearthed from the site of Beishouling in Baoji, Shaanxi, and the painted pottery dragon pattern unearthed from the west of Puyang, Henan. A Shang Dynasty wine vessel unearthed in Funan, Anhui Province-"Dragon Tiger Bronze Zun" is different from any animal in nature. But from birds, animals, fish, insects and other animals to select a certain part, re-assembled into an organic whole. After the rapid development from Shang Dynasty to Zhou Dynasty and Warring States Period, the dragon basically took shape in Qin and Han Dynasties. The dragons in Shang Dynasty were mainly carved on bronze ritual vessels, with lines strewn at random and protruding, deep and vigorous, and the heavy and steady shape of bronze ritual vessels made the dragons.
