The influence of Buddhist thought on China's legal culture
Buddhism was introduced into China for nearly 2000 years. During the long historical development, it gradually merged with China's traditional thought, culture and national customs. Until today, Buddhism has become a characteristic Buddhism in China. So what influence and significance does Buddhism have on the culture of China?

1 Influence on Confucian culture: The harmonious speculative mode of Buddhism and the theory that life is Zen attracted the ancient literati class and had a certain influence on Confucian orthodoxy. Orthodoxy is a Confucian academic theory about inheritance system in former Wang Zhidao. Its representative is Han Yu, who formally put forward the theory of orthodoxy, the essence of which is to imitate the inheritance of Tiantai Sect of Buddhism.

2. Influence on Taoist culture: We often say that there is no distinction between Buddhism and Taoism. The most obvious reason is that the deity system of Buddhism and Taoism is * * *. For example, Guan Yu is called Galand Bodhisattva in Buddhism and Guan Sheng Di Jun in Taoism. Guanyin bodhisattva is enshrined in Buddhism and Taoism. Taoism calls him a benevolent man, and it is also called the Buddha who is kind to navigation and Purdue. Even in the Journey to the West, the Monkey King's master Bodhi, who was originally a monk, has the name of Bodhi. It can be seen that good and law are interlinked, and Buddhism and Taoism also influence each other.

Influence on architecture: Buddhist culture occupies an important position in architecture, such as grottoes, pagodas and monasteries, which form a unique Buddhist architectural art, among which pagodas have different artistic values according to the different uses of modeling materials. There are wooden pagodas, glazed pagodas and stone pagodas. The stupa symbolizes the merits and cultural heritage of Buddhism.

Buddhist temples are mostly quadrangles, surrounded by closed doors, facing south, and generally symmetrical along the central axis. Including the main hall, the Heavenly King Hall, the Runwheel Hall, and the Tibetan Scripture Building. On both sides, there are Buddha Pavilion, Bodhisattva Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Zen Hall, Dharma Hall and Zhaitang. It inherits the characteristics of ancient architecture in China, embodies the architectural form in a certain historical period, and follows the development law of China.

Influence on painting art: Buddhist painting is an important means to guide people to firmly believe. Originated in India, it developed in China and gradually developed into the national style of China. In ancient times, Buddhist art was the mainstream of ancient Southeast Asian art. China, the most developed country in the world, is dominated by grotto art. Although it originated in India, it has long been out of the influence of India and Gandhara, creating a unique grotto art system in China.

Influence on medicine: The purpose of Buddhism is happiness, friendship and universality. The classics related to Buddhist medicine include Buddhist medical classics, Buddhist medical analogy classics, Buddhist fetal classics and so on. There are also many medical works by eminent monks, such as The Secret Biography of Shaoling and Zhu Lin Gynecology. (See China Encyclopedia of Buddhist Medicine for details) This not only enriches the content of Chinese medicine, but also improves and promotes medical ethics!

6 Influence on music: As a kind of religious music, Buddhist music is an important branch of China national music. At the beginning of its introduction, it was called Bai Fan, which means singing with music. At the beginning of the 20th century, musician Li Shutong became a monk. Later, Master Taixu wrote lyrics, and he composed Sanbao Song, which is the first Buddhist song written by a professional musician in the history of modern music. In recent years, pop music has also absorbed the elements of religious music and achieved the perfection of pop music. Buddhist songs focus on treating the heart, elegant but not vulgar, and have a positive effect on psychotherapy!

7 Influence on Wushu: Wushu in China has a long history. In the Spring and Autumn Period, there were martial arts masters, such as Nie Zheng and Jing Ke, which did not originate in India. The enlightenment method in Buddhism has a vital influence on people's psychology and even their bodies. These mental methods can make martial arts practitioners quickly adjust their mentality and bring people's physical fitness to the extreme. The result shows that there are martial arts in the modern world, which shows that Buddhism has made great contributions to the inheritance and development of martial arts in China!
