Background of bonsai creation:

Ai Qing changed from a painter to a poet. In his spiritual course, he gradually changed from a "rebel" to a "trumpeter" of the times.

Ai Qing 1928 was admitted to the Painting Department of Hangzhou National West Lake Art Institute, and 1929 went to France to work and study, majoring in painting.
