This subject is a key subject in Shanghai and the whole country, and has a history of training undergraduate, master and doctor for more than 50 years. It is one of the earliest bases in China engaged in applied chemistry personnel training and scientific research. Leather chemistry and engineering is an independent discipline from applied chemistry (fine chemical engineering) with our school's characteristics, which not only maintains the foundation of the original discipline, but also expands the research field, relying on the teaching and scientific research advantages of applied chemistry. The members of the postgraduate tutor group are mainly professors and associate professors (including 3 doctoral tutors) with master's degrees in applied chemistry and related majors. The main research direction of leather chemistry and engineering in domestic brother universities focuses on the research of leather process. Compared with similar disciplines in China, the master of leather chemistry and engineering in our school mainly studies additives and special chemicals for leather.
In recent years, this discipline has formed distinctive research characteristics in organic dyes, organic pigments, intermediates of daily chemicals, special leather auxiliaries, silicone surfactants, cosmetics and so on. At present, he is engaged in the research and development of silicone and organofluorine surfactants, functional dyes for leather and cosmetics. , and has applied for a number of patents, and the transformation of scientific research results is remarkable. He has published dozens of papers in international academic journals such as Dyes and Pigments and Synthesis.
Second, the training objectives
Postgraduates majoring in leather chemistry and engineering should take modern organic chemistry as the foundation and modern fine chemical synthesis as the core, and at the same time master the basic theories and system professional knowledge of physical chemistry, chemical engineering and polymer chemistry (physics). Master modern experimental techniques and methods and analytical testing techniques, be familiar with the research status and development trend of applied chemistry, especially leather chemistry and engineering, have a rigorous and realistic scientific attitude, and have the ability to independently engage in fine chemicals research (especially leather chemicals), chemical production technology research and new product development research; Master English or other foreign languages, be proficient in reading English or other foreign language materials of this major, and have certain writing skills in English or other foreign languages and the ability to conduct international academic exchanges. After graduation, graduate students can be competent in teaching, scientific research, technical management or marketing in institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes, enterprises and other units, and cultivate a group of compound senior research and engineering technical talents who are proficient in applied chemistry and have the ability of leather chemistry and engineering research and development.
Third, the main research direction
1. Fine chemicals chemistry and technology (natural and synthetic leather auxiliaries, natural and synthetic leather dyes, pigments, fine intermediates, functional materials and green leather chemicals, etc.). ). The traditional specialty of our college is dyes and intermediates, and the research on traditional dyes has formed a very solid academic foundation. As early as the 1970s, we cooperated with the Ministry of Chemical Industry and the Ministry of Light Industry to develop metal complex dyes for leather, which are still sold in the leather market. In recent years, our school has advantages and distinctive research characteristics in organic photoelectric functional materials, biological functional compounds, applied catalytic technology, fine synthesis of photosensitive materials and pharmaceutical intermediates. To concretize these advanced fine chemicals, develop a new generation of advanced leather-specific chemicals, introduce them into the leather industry for upgrading, and improve the added value of leather products.
2 daily chemicals (cosmetics, daily chemical intermediates, daily detergents, etc.). ).
3. Special surfactants (silicone and organic fluorine surfactants, biosurfactants, etc. ).
4. Light industrial additives (printing and dyeing, textile, papermaking, food and other additives. ).
Fourth, the academic system and credits.
The education system is 2. Five years. The training period is 2 ~ 5 years, and the validity period of the course results is 5 years.
The total credit of the course is not less than 32 credits. Degree courses (including public courses and professional compulsory courses) shall not be less than 18 credits; Professional elective courses in non-degree courses should be no less than 7 credits, minor courses must be completed with 4 credits, academic lectures with 2 credits, and fitness 1 credit.
3. All courses included in the total credits shall be completed in the first three learning units, except that the foreign language is completed in one academic year (4 learning units).
Verb (abbreviation of verb) mid-term examination
The mid-term exam is prepared at the end of the second semester and conducted at the beginning of the third semester. The content of the mid-term exam includes a comprehensive evaluation of the political and ideological performance, learning attitude and style of study of graduate students, as well as the grades and credits of the course.
A report on the opening of intransitive verbs
Master students should first collect relevant literature, conduct actual investigation, grasp the frontier of discipline development, attach importance to intellectual property rights, write a good literature review, and write an opening report on this basis, and make a public report and defense at the opening report meeting arranged by the master tutor group. Only those who pass the exam can enter the dissertation work.
Seven. thesis
Dissertation is the concrete embodiment of the basic theoretical knowledge and scientific research ability of graduate students, and it is an important symbol of the training quality of graduate students.
