He participated in the whole process of compiling a new generation of local chronicles, wrote the book Twelve Lectures on Newly Edited Local Chronicles, published more than 40 local chronicles, and was hired as a local chronicles consultant by Wujin, Jintan and Gaoyou. He was once praised as a "young scholar" and a "local chronicles rookie" by local chronicles. At the same time, he also studied the situation in Anhui Province, and wrote many books, such as Anecdotes of Anhui, Major Events Affecting Anhui, Folk Custom and Tourism in the Hot Land of Jianghuai, and Anhui Dictionary (1996 won the second prize of the third outstanding social science achievement in Anhui Province).
