He graduated from St. John's University School of Medicine and the first Western Studies Class of Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and worked in obstetrics and gynecology for more than half a century. He used to be the deputy head of the teaching and research group of traditional Chinese medicine in Xinhua Hospital of Shanghai Second Medical University, the deputy director of traditional Chinese medicine, and the chief physician, vice president and consultant physician of gynecology in International Peace Maternal and Child Health Hospital.
He used to be a director of Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and a director of China Association of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. He has published many papers, among which "Non-surgical Treatment of Ectopic Pregnancy with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" was awarded by Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau.
