Chen Zheng, Director of Social Services Department of beijing ditan hospital. From 65438 to 0984, Chen was working as a head nurse in a severe hepatitis ward. Due to the particularity of infectious diseases, patients are discriminated against by all walks of life and even families. In order to set an example for everyone, Chen Zheng took the lead in nursing critically ill patients. Once, a male patient with liver cirrhosis suddenly suffered from massive hemorrhage, and his family members were scared to hide outside the ward. Chen Zheng forgot to wipe off the highly contagious blood spattered on her face, and immediately cooperated with the doctor to rescue the patient. The patient was finally saved, and his daughter moved to Chen Zheng and said, "You have done what our children can't do." Engaged in infectious disease care, it is inevitable to meet AIDS patients. In the late 1980s, ditan hospital admitted the first AIDS patient. That was a foreign guest, and the heavy psychological burden made him jump off a building and cause a comminuted fracture all over his body. At that time, when people in China talked about AIDS, medical staff also lacked knowledge of protection, and fear was widespread. A nurse even resigned. In the face of all kinds of doubts, Chen Zheng, who is already the deputy director of the nursing department, took the lead in entering the ward, worked with nurses to carry out nursing operations for patients, and trained nurses in the hospital on AIDS knowledge, and formulated a series of AIDS nursing routines. Chen was the first volunteer to talk with AIDS patients, including jiaozi and playing games, after the hospital set up the first caring organization for AIDS patients-Red Ribbon House. Her first example dispelled the fears of medical staff. Today, the Red Ribbon Home has more than 2,000 volunteers, thousands of patients receive services here, and a group of young AIDS nursing backbones are active in the teachers who train nurses for the whole country. In the face of the epidemic, the disinfection and isolation of SARS has become a "world model"
In the spring of 2003, the SARS epidemic raged in Beijing, and ditan hospital, where Chen Zheng was located, became the first designated hospitals for SARS. 56-year-old Chen Zheng, as a member of the hospital prevention and control team and the chief commander of the hospital nursing work, could have been sitting in the office making phone calls and moving her mouth, but she took the lead, put on protective clothing and plunged into the front line of nursing.
Mr. Lin, who is in his early forties, is a foreign patient. After suffering from SARS, he was very nervous, had a nervous breakdown and was insane. In the process of transferring patients, in order to eliminate Mr. Lin's nervousness, Chen Zheng talked with him while pushing a wheelchair and gave him psychological comfort. The patient listened to her comfort and said sincerely, "With you, I feel much more at ease." To the patient's surprise, the amiable nurse in protective clothing behind her turned out to be an elder sister over half a year old.
In 2004, in order to train the successor of nursing department, Chen Zheng took the initiative to step down and left the nursing leadership position. After working in the infectious diseases department all his life, he could have gone home and enjoyed himself, but in June of that year, Chen was hired as the head of the social service department of the hospital, responsible for the follow-up of discharged patients, hotline consultation and preventive outpatient service for healthy people. Talking about his new job, Chen Zheng said: Many people still think infectious diseases are terrible, and many people even discriminate against patients with infectious diseases and medical staff engaged in infectious diseases. From the nursing management position to the follow-up service department, what Chen is about to do is to let patients feel the true feelings from the hospital and society. By 2005, the Social Service Department had been running for a whole year under the leadership of Chen Zheng. Chen Zheng and seven colleagues in this department provided disease consultation for more than 2,000 discharged hepatitis patients, and also gave vaccination for more than 3,000 healthy people. Many patients often call to inquire about their illness and discuss their diet and daily life precautions with Chen Zheng. They have become old friends. "The somebody else say you go to the hospital now, do things must find acquaintances. I just want to be an old acquaintance of ditan hospital patients, so that they no longer feel that the hospital is cold. " The award-winning speech honor belongs to the field of infectious disease nursing.
Liu Zhenhua is currently the director of the inpatient department of Jinan Dermatosis Prevention and Treatment Hospital. In 2005, Liu Zhenhua was awarded the Nightingale Award by the International Committee of the Red Cross, in recognition of her extraordinary courage and love in professional nursing of leprosy for 28 years. If a person's life experience is a book, then Liu Zhenhua is writing life with love, showing her angel feelings of caring for and helping leprosy patients.
1977, 22-year-old Liu Zhenhua graduated from Jinan Health School. A notice shocked her: she was assigned to the leprosy inpatient department of Jinan Dermatology and Prevention Hospital. That day, she stayed up all night. She knows that leprosy patients often suffer from various injuries and disfigurements caused by the invasion of leprosy bacilli into human peripheral nerves, leaving a terrible impression on people. In the end, it was her mother's encouragement that made her strong: others can do it, so can we.
However, the incomprehension of some relatives and friends gave Liu Zhenhua a great blow. After learning about her job, her boyfriend decided to break up. Once I went to a classmate's home party, my parents learned about Liu Zhenhua's work. After she left, they threw away all the used cups and sheets and disinfected the house thoroughly.
It is the professionalism and love of the predecessors in the hospital that keeps her going. When Liu Zhenhua saw the doctor Zhong Wang who brought her to treat the patient, she would hold the patient's arm like a poker, give the patient an injection patiently, and carefully examine the patient's ulcer. She asked Wang Dafu: "Are you so close to the patient that you are not afraid of being infected?" "No, we have preventive measures. Besides, lepers are not as terrible as they say. Every patient has a pain buried in his heart. Without kindness and compassion, he can't do this job well! " From then on, Liu Zhenhua began to approach patients with heart disease.
Every morning, she takes care of seriously ill patients, carefully dresses them, shoes and socks, and makes their beds. When she was busy with nursing, she took the time to clean the quilts, sheets and underwear that the patients had changed, and repeatedly wiped them when they encountered stains from feces and urine. Some patients have a rash all over the body and can't see blood vessels. Liu Zhenhua doesn't wear gloves when infusion. First, he touched the blood vessel with his hand, then he dropped a needle and let the liquid drip slowly.
In this way, 28 spring and autumn have passed. The nurses in the hospital changed from batch to batch, but Liu Zhenhua persisted.
In the mind of lepers, Liu Zhenhua is an angel who spreads love. Every Spring Festival, Liu Zhenhua stays with his patients, eats with them on New Year's Eve, and sends New Year's greetings one by one on the first morning. She bought air mattresses for patients with low back and leg pain, health food for patients with insomnia, thermal underwear for poor patients, electric mattresses for the elderly, and various melon and fruit foods, and made various tonics by herself.
1994, the company changed a building for Liu Zhenhua, and the family bid farewell to the small tile house where 17 lived and moved into the city. Her husband is close to work, and her daughter is guaranteed to go to school, but her home is far from the ward, so it is not convenient to contact patients. After consulting with her husband, Liu Zhenhua bought a mobile phone with his own money and put it in the ward for the patient to keep abreast of the patient's situation.
1998, the hospital decided to transfer Liu Zhenhua back to the clinic. Unexpectedly, the news spread and the leprosy hospitalization office exploded. Some patients proposed to write a joint letter, and soon almost all the patients arrived and signed their names one by one. People without fingers press the red seal with their stump to express their strong desire to keep Liu Zhenhua. The hospital leaders were in a dilemma and gave the decision to Liu Zhenhua himself. The patient's trust and dependence made Liu Zhenhua shed tears, and in this way, she stayed.
Liu Zhenhua has published more than 20 valuable academic papers. She explored a new way of "emotional support and humanized comprehensive management" in leprosy prevention and treatment. Her scientific research achievements have been popularized in Jinan and Shandong Province.
There is a banner hanging on the wall of Jinan Dermatosis Prevention and Treatment Hospital, which reads "angels in white is a model, not that relatives are better than relatives". This is the highest evaluation of Liu Zhenhua by patients.
Wan Qi, Director of Nursing Department of General Hospital of Tibet Military Region. 17 years old, Wan Qi bid farewell to Chengdu, the capital of the prosperous "land of abundance", and went to the Ninth Hospital of Tibet alone to become a frontier health soldier. The average altitude here is more than 4,500 meters, the annual average temperature is below zero degrees Celsius, and the oxygen content in the air is less than 40% of that in the mainland, which is called "life forbidden zone" by biologists. Cold and lack of oxygen lead to nail depression, hair loss, cardiovascular disease and other symptoms in border guards and soldiers to varying degrees. Dozens of comrades-in-arms and relatives of officers and soldiers were buried in the snowy plateau due to altitude sickness. In contact with patients again and again, she witnessed the physical and mental pain caused by the lack of medical care and medicine for border guards and Tibetan compatriots. Once, a border guard named Tashi lost too much blood due to trauma, and his condition was very critical. He suddenly lost the blood he needed during the rescue. At that time, Wan Qi had just returned from a holiday in the mainland, and her body had not fully adapted. Can you watch a life as young as you be taken away by death? Don't! Wan Qi stood up and said decisively, "My blood type is just right. Take mine!" The doctors and comrades present looked at her in surprise. This resident is over 4500 meters above sea level. I'm new here, let alone draw blood. I don't even have the strength to drink or walk. She looked at everyone's hesitant eyes and was very anxious. She shouted, "Don't hesitate any longer. Saving lives is very important. I am the youngest here. Please smoke mine! " In an instant, 300 ml of fresh blood entered Tashi's body, Tashi slowly opened his eyes, and Wan Qi's excited tears, coupled with better sweating, suddenly fell like a broken bead.
Since then, Wan Qi has strengthened her determination to become the "angels in white" in the army. 1984, she gave up the opportunity to apply for other military schools and preferred to fill in nursing schools. 1986 When she graduated, she resolutely gave up the opportunity to stay in Chengdu and took the initiative to apply to return to Tibet. Wan Qi was assigned to the General Hospital of Tibet Military Region. She made an incredible move to work in the hardest and most tiring infectious diseases department. Many people don't understand: As a girl from a city, why did she choose a department that most nurses didn't want to go to? Wan Qi believes that the life value of a military nurse can only be reflected in poor departments. She laughed off her friend's kind words. At that time, the infectious diseases department had poor medical conditions, few medical staff and more opportunities to contact infectious patients. Due to the backward protective measures, the infection rate of medical staff is extremely high, but Wan Qi only wants to take care of the patients, and she always tries to do what others don't want to do. Many Tibetan compatriots don't understand Chinese, so she took her Tibetan colleagues, translated word by word, and explained the common sense of hygiene and home care methods to patients bit by bit.
Three-point treatment and seven-point nursing. 1996 in may, a soldier named Liao Yong was admitted to the third section outside the hospital. He is in a coma due to hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage and diabetes, and his condition is quite dangerous. Wan Qi was sent to give him special care. In order to take good care of critically ill patients, she eats and lives in the ward. After the operation, the patient was filled with various tubes. Because the patient's resistance is declining, in order to prevent cross infection, the work in the ward depends on her. Three days after the first operation, when she was on duty, she found that the patient suddenly became restless and the pupils on both sides were different in size. She reported to the doctor in time, which won valuable time for the patient's second operation. Due to timely treatment and proper nursing, the patient did not have any complications in bed for one and a half months. After half a year's treatment and nursing, the patient recovered his full self-care ability.
1At the beginning of 998, a once-in-a-century snowstorm occurred in Naqu area, and many Tibetan herders were frostbitten and needed emergency treatment. Wan Qi, together with members of the medical team, went from house to house for two and a half months, explaining anti-freezing knowledge to the masses and helping them deal with frozen animals, working 15 hours a day. The violent mountain reaction made Wan Qi unable to eat anything, and she vomited as soon as she ate until she vomited jaundice water. In just three days, Wan Qi lost nearly 10 Jin, as thin as wood. After receiving the news, the snowstorm relief headquarters instructed the medical team to send someone to take her back immediately. Wan Qi resolutely refused, saying, "The chilblain of fellow villagers has not healed, especially Dunzhu needs careful care, otherwise, his leg is in danger of amputation. Besides, I am already familiar with the situation here. It is not appropriate to go down the mountain at this time, and I am reluctant. " Half a month later, when Wan Qi bid farewell to Dunzhu, who had recovered, she couldn't hold back any longer and fell to the hospital bed. Colleagues who came to see her saw that Wan Qi had become dark, sunken and emaciated, and could not help but shed sad tears. Wan Qi forced a smile and said to her colleague, "I'm fine, just tired. Just take a break. " Two days later, she came to Suoxiong Township, Nie Rong County, which is more than 5,000 meters above sea level, and went to the front line of the snowstorm to devote herself to the work of treating frostbitten herders. In two and a half months, Wan Qi traveled more than 20,000 kilometers, and more than 2,000 herders were treated by her and her colleagues.
Wan Qi believes that her current job is just a platform for her to practice, engage in and even interpret the nursing profession. Although I have gone to northern Tibet, southern Tibet and temples in recent years, I have accumulated a lot of clinical experience, but starting from this platform, I will continue to climb to a new level and live up to my enthusiasm for choosing nursing and choosing Tibet. Over the years, Wan Qi has taught herself books on nursing, nutrition, pathology, psychology and other specialties, and passed the academic examinations for nursing majors in junior colleges and undergraduate courses. Not satisfied with this, she chose to go to the Military Medical College for further study for two years. After returning, Wan Qi fully summarized the nursing experience of 17 and actively carried out theoretical research in combination with clinical nursing, and successively wrote 120 theoretical articles. Among them, more than 30 academic papers such as "Application of Oxygen Therapy in Perioperative Nursing of Cardiopulmonary Bypass Surgery in Plateau Area" were published in military and foreign nursing journals. At the same time, Wan Qi also translated the theory into clinical practice, and took the lead in developing new technologies and new business 10, such as perioperative nursing research of open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass in plateau areas, and achieved practical results. Among them, the clinical application of oxygen therapy in perioperative nursing of cardiopulmonary bypass in plateau area has made patients get the best therapeutic effect. This nursing method, which is closely combined with medical treatment and nursing, not only makes postoperative patients recover in advance, but also greatly reduces the mortality rate. It pioneered the medical rescue in Tibet Plateau, and enabled such operations to be carried out smoothly and safely.
Wang Yali, Director of Nursing Department of Dingxi People's Hospital. On September 1955, Wang Yali was born in Fengxiang Town, Anding District, Dingxi City. 1972 After graduating from high school, I went to the countryside to be an educated youth. 1975 was recommended to study in the provincial nursing school. Since then, Wang Yali has forged an indissoluble bond with the sacred nursing cause.
Wang Yali was assigned to the Oncology Department of Dingxi People's Hospital after graduation. At that time, there were 24 beds and 5 nursing staff in the oncology department, with few staff, heavy tasks and very difficult working conditions. The ward is a bungalow with civil structure and no running water. Nurses have to go hundreds of meters away every day to fetch water for patients, carry liquids in boxes, clean wards, and pull coal for patients to make a fire in winter. Wang Yali always gets to the hospital early and does the dirty work. Some people say that she is stupid, but she says, "I am young and have good physical strength, so I should work more." She transformed her understanding of Nightingale's broad spirit of fraternity into deep care and sympathy for patients. How many times, she brought porridge from home to postoperative patients who needed liquid food, how many times, she quietly brought steamed bread, eggs and other foods to patients with nutritional deficiency, and how many times, she used warm words to dispel the haze hanging over the hearts of critically ill patients and face the sunshine of life again. She also developed her professional expertise, founded a blackboard newspaper, publicized medical care knowledge to patients, helped departments to formulate nursing rules and regulations, and standardized technical operations. Soon, Wang Yali's outstanding talent was widely praised by hospital leaders and colleagues. 1978, promoted to ward head nurse. Since then, Wang Yali has performed a touching story with more exquisite technology, high-quality nursing and enthusiastic service, and composed a angels in white ode to heal the wounded and rescue the dying. During Wang Yali's 28-year nursing career, she has been caring and helping patients. "Using our love to help patients summon up the courage to fight the disease and bring the spring of life to patients, this is the value of nurses." Modest and peaceful, Wang Yali spoke softly when talking about the great significance of nursing work. She is close to knowing her own destiny, and a few sentences reveal the deep imprint of her career, expressing respect and awe for life and incomparable love for nursing work.
In September, 199 1, Wang Yali was appointed as the director of nursing department. She clearly realized that nursing specialty is different from other service industries, especially in today's rapid development of medical science and people's urgent need for health care knowledge. Only smiling and considerate care are not enough. So she passed the adult advanced nursing class of Lanzhou Medical College with amazing perseverance and studied full-time for one year. In 2002, 47-year-old Wang Yali enrolled in the undergraduate nursing class of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the Provincial College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and further studied and improved. Because of her diligence, quick thinking and studious study, she has published more than 10 papers in China Nursing Journal, Gansu Science and Technology, Health Vocational Education and other magazines.
Feng is the first winner of the Nightingale Medal in Hong Kong.
34 years of nursing career
Feng studied nursing from 197 1 and worked hard in nursing post for 34 years. Advanced nursing techniques and service concepts emerge one after another, and Feng feels great pressure at work. 1983, she resolutely quit her job and went to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to study for a diploma in nursing education. From 65438 to 0985, Feng continued to return to the hospital to engage in clinical nursing and nursing teaching. From 65438 to 0990, medical reform was carried out in Hong Kong, and public hospitals in Hong Kong jointly formed the Hospital Authority, which attached great importance to hospital management, especially financial management and personnel management, and the important position of nurses became more prominent. At this time, Feng was transferred to obstetrics and gynecology and became a senior head nurse in charge of nursing management. Therefore, Feng enrolled in the MBA course to strengthen her quality and self-cultivation, and graduated at 199 1. During the period of 1993, Guanghua Hospital where Feng was located officially became a hospital under the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and Feng served as the operation manager of the department. As a member of the hospital management, Feng once again felt that he lacked the knowledge of medical care management, so he enrolled in the Department of Medical Management of Birmingham University in the United Kingdom and completed the master's course for two years. Since then, she has mainly engaged in the management and research of medical services. From 65438 to 0997, Feng was promoted to general manager of hospital nursing (head nurse). In 2002, the management of Guanghua Hospital and Wong Tai Sin Hospital merged, and Feng became the general manager of nursing in both hospitals.
At the end of 2002, the Hospital Authority was reformed again, and seven hospitals were networked. This has brought convenience to the majority of patients, and they can choose hospitals in the network according to their living areas, which is convenient for seeing a doctor. Therefore, Feng worked as the general manager of nursing in Kowloon West Cluster, Kwong Wah Hospital, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Wong Tai Sin Hospital of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority for three years.
Looking back on the course of 34 years, Feng always feels the pressure brought by nursing work. She constantly recharges herself and learns advanced nursing services and management concepts. At the same time, she also constantly experienced the happiness of caring for patients' health as a nursing worker.
Developing specialized nursing mode
Feng said that there are certain cultural differences between Hong Kong and the Mainland. Therefore, patients' needs for nursing services are also different. Many mainland patients take care of their own diet, and mainland patients are highly dependent on doctors. The nurse's job is not only to give injections and drugs, but also to provide patients with all-round nursing services, from physiology to psychology, from patients themselves to their families and even the community, to assist and guide patients to recover. Mainland nurses should also strengthen training in some aspects, such as nurses' assessment of patients' condition, observation of patients' condition, drug management and treatment response. The medical ratio in Hong Kong is 1:4. At present, the proportion of medical care in the mainland has not reached this proportion. Feng said that in combination with the actual situation in the mainland, the mainland should develop a specialized nursing model to give full play to the talents of each nurse, so that nurses can give full play to their abilities and serve patients.
Talent is the foundation of career development.
Talking about the experience of nursing human resource management, Feng said that nurses now face two very important problems: first, the image of nurses is not ideal, which increases the turnover rate; Second, nursing can't attract the best talents to enter the industry. Feng believes that all industries should attract different talents in all aspects, and the ever-developing society will bring more development opportunities so that everyone can give full play to their individuality and talents. Talent is not excellent, and no amount of science and technology can play its due role. Talent is fundamental. How the nursing industry competes with other industries for excellent and limited talents is an important issue that we have been thinking about. In fact, the most fundamental way to solve this problem is to train a large number of excellent clinical nursing workers and nursing educators, so as to improve the quality of nursing service and the image of nurses and attract outstanding talents to join the nursing team. We should regard the profession of being a nurse as an honor, not just to make money.
Core competence standard of nurses
Comparing the standards of nurses' core competence between Hong Kong and the Mainland, Feng believes that the different needs of patients determine the different requirements for nurses' core competence.
Each nurse's knowledge level and operation ability are different. To develop the core competence of nurses, it is necessary to divide them into different grades and make different nursing requirements for nurses of different grades. Only in this way can every nurse reach the nursing standard.
Feng said that in Hong Kong, great attention is paid to the cultivation of nurses' knowledge and ability in all aspects. For nurses with non-undergraduate education, they will be encouraged to continue their studies and provided with corresponding opportunities until they obtain undergraduate education. Feng said, we call on the government to provide more funds for nurses' continuing education. Through this kind of continuous learning, we can constantly improve the image of nurses and generate job satisfaction and motivation.
Feng's greatest wish now is to train the next generation and make the nursing team in Hong Kong successful. At the end of the short interview, Feng sincerely sent a message to young nurses: Nurses are a very noble profession. To get satisfaction from patients' recovery, we must know how to cherish it.
