Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Embarrassment of Martial Arts Films in Real Situations
Recently, my high school classmates have been looking for me, and it is inevitable to recall my past joining the League. Many people remember me as the girl who likes to read martial arts novels and then chase boys for exchange, because there are really too few girls who watch martial arts. Martial arts is a boy's yearning and imagination for the world, and a man's fantasy and expectation for the world.

For most people who like to be emotional and overbearing, Mary Su, the dog's blood of the president, and the bravery and chivalry of the blood spilled in the rivers and lakes are beyond their understanding and acceptance. There is a line in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: "A woman who can drink can't win any man." Girls who like to watch martial arts must be very open-minded

If you meet a girl who likes watching martial arts, marry her ~ ~ ~

Recently, I heard that Jin Yong's old-timers have revised some plots and endings of his fifteen martial arts novels, which may be more in line with the development of the main characters and story lines, but they always feel that they are still unacceptable, so they have refused to read them. In the eyes of our generation, the old version of Flying Snow Shoots White Deer Plain, Laughing at Books Leaning on Peach Blossoms is a legendary classic that can never be surpassed. I always feel that there is a helpless compromise in Jin Lao's rewriting.

Martial arts is actually a fairy tale for adults, and the unattainable ideal of "chivalrous fighters using force is forbidden" can be expressed in the book. It's just that the martial arts described by the author can't be separated from the projection of the real society, and people can only catch their breath in the book between trivial matters of life and realistic pressure. When the so-called martial arts are forced by some rules of morality and legal society and get closer to the norms in real life, it is unacceptable but helpless for those who love it.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Iron Riding Silver Bottle are two martial arts novels that I loved very much when I was young. On them, Yu Jiaolong and Luo Xiaohu are lingering, and their love tragedy is profound. There are quite a few tragic and earth-shattering feelings of China Romeo and Juliet, which were deeply shocked when they were young and ignorant.

Mr. Wang Dulu, the author of these two books, is a master of chivalry and has been hidden in the market all his life. In his six martial arts works, Crossing the Jianghu, The Sword, The Golden Hairpin, The Wondering Pearl, He Fa Kunlun Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Riding a Silver Bottle, the chivalrous masculine beauty is combined with the emotional feminine beauty.

Unfortunately, the vivid images of these street martial arts characters, the twists and turns of the story development, and the intense conflicts of the characters' emotions, even a master like Ang Lee did not show integrity on the wide screen in his later film works, and may have been taken out of context in many places.

The biggest change and the original fans can't accept is that in the original, Yu Jiaolong, who has so much personality charm, dares to love and hate, and fights against the personal fate of feudal society who regards women as sacrifices and superior products in the struggle for family power, has evolved into the role of Zhang Ziyi who betrayed his master for personal gain, destroyed chivalry and even some ruthless giants and ladies. Even at the end of the first movie, Yu Jiaolong was in the beautiful scene set off by the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

Needless to say, in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Sword of the Green Ghost, Yuan Heping directly transformed "Jade Jiaolong" into an ordinary name "Han Mei", without any shadow of "Jade Jiaolong" in our mind, which is charming, euphemistic, vivid, affectionate and unforgettable.

Throughout Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Sword, the whole film is a "chivalrous" avenue that is mechanically applied. Shouting "chivalry", "iron arm Lu", "shadowless dart", "drunk epilepsy" and "flying knife Li" for the so-called "Jianghu loyalty" died in the struggle with Wei Yan, the boss of Western Union Education, which made people less moved and more puzzled. Maybe the director can explain the details a little here, which may be more convincing.

But the special effects of the whole movie can really be compared with blockbusters. The Lord of the Rings's original team, Yuan Heping, who is known as the first martial arts in the world, has shown excellent special effects and Yuan Da's excellent guidance on martial arts, whether it is the fighting on the tower where Xilian teaches, or the duel between Meng and Wei Fang on the ice lake, the trademark three-legged kick, the villain's hard bridge and hard horse, the collapsed bricks on the tower and the numerous lines on the ice.

The word "martial arts", "martial arts" is indeed before "chivalry", so a martial arts movie can't be recognized by the audience if it is too melodramatic in martial arts actions. However, the lack of a director's humanistic spirit will inevitably lead to greater failure. To tell the truth, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2, Sword of the Green Ghost, with so many elaborate martial arts moves, is not as impressive as the scene in which Ang Lee made Chow Yun Fat stand on the top of the bamboo forest and linger in the wind, seemingly boneless but still standing.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The plot of Green Sword is relatively complete, and it echoes from beginning to end. It explained that Wei Fang was the illegitimate child of Han Mei. He was robbed of his property by an official's concubine and exchanged it with his daughter. (Actually, in the original book, Yu Jiaolong didn't die after jumping off a cliff, and she was unable to return to her parents. So she was turned into a phoenix by others, named her daughter "Spring Snow Bottle" and met "Han Tiefang" who was raised by bandits.

However, the level of the whole film is unknown and there is no central idea. The whole movie is full of "chivalry" imposed from the outside, and it feels very abrupt.

People who have not been deeply baptized by philosophy and humanistic thought can hardly reach a peak only by understanding life. This is the case in Yuan Heping, but it is also the case in Stephen Chow. With hard work and talent, you can really get ahead of others, but you can't really achieve classics by sweat and experience alone. This is true for filmmakers, and it is also true for all walks of life in society.

The predicament of martial arts movies is not only the weakness of humanistic thought, but also the weakness in real life.

In that chaotic world where the situation is complex and the law of the jungle prevails, Wushu is a ray of light for people's ideology. It can't change people's real dilemma, but its greatest use is to keep people from falling into a completely dead body, fantasize about a happy martial arts world, break class rule and speak for the disadvantaged groups.

Regrettably, with the improvement of people's consciousness, the increasingly standardized society ruled by law, the changes of some social rules in economic development, and the changes of people's attitudes towards ideological beliefs and material pursuits, the theoretical basis of Wushu is getting weaker and weaker in reality.

On the surface, both the literary world and the film market hold the martial arts theme as a hot topic. In fact, under the fame, such as cooking oil, excessive consumption and unconscious misunderstanding, Wushu will only go to a dead end and the living space will become narrower and narrower.

Whether to let the martial arts films die out, or let them linger on and win the hearts of the audience with the remnants of their past, or, the best hope is that some people will not give up their ideas and skills lightly, persevere and carry forward, or give the world more aura with the gesture of rebirth.

Wait and see, look forward to ~ ~ ~
