The full name of "Statistical Source Periodical" is "Statistical Source Periodical of China Sci-tech Papers" (also known as China Sci-tech Core Periodical), and the catalogue of statistical source periodicals will appear in the Citation Report of China Sci-tech Journals published once a year by China Institute of Sci-tech Information. Entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, China Institute of Sci-tech Information (ISTIC) began to make a statistical analysis of the number of papers published and cited by China's scientific and technological personnel at home and abroad from 1987, and established the China Sci-tech Papers and Citations Database (CSTPCD) by using the statistical data, which was widely valued and praised by all sectors of society.
