What are the characteristics of low-pylon cable-stayed bridge?
(1), aesthetic landscape features: the height of the main beam of the low-pylon cable-stayed bridge is about 1/2 of that of the continuous beam, which has a slender and feminine aesthetic effect and overcomes the oppression caused by the high height of the main beam of the continuous beam bridge and the incongruity between the upper and lower structures of the bridge. The arrangement of bridge towers and cable-stayed bridges feels magnificent.

(2) Flexible span arrangement: Low-pylon cable-stayed bridges can be designed into different structural forms, such as single tower with two spans, double towers with three spans, multi-tower with multiple spans and so on. Single span is suitable in the range of 100~300m, which overcomes the shortcomings of multi-tower cable-stayed bridge, gives full play to the advantages of multi-span continuous beam bridge, and has great choice in the design of single span and bridge length.

(3) Simple construction: The construction method of low-pylon cable-stayed bridge is basically the same as that of continuous beam bridge, and cantilever casting method can be adopted. There is no need to adjust the secondary cable force of stay cables during construction. Due to the short pylon of low pylon cable-stayed bridge, the construction of pylon is not as complicated as that of cable-stayed bridge.

(4) Good economy: Through the quarrel analysis of low-pylon cable-stayed bridges built at home and abroad, the cost per linear meter of this bridge type is basically the same as that of continuous beam bridges, which is lower than that of ordinary cable-stayed bridges and has considerable economic benefits.
