Feng Jicai, a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang, is a famous contemporary writer and painter in China. Nearly 100 works have been published, among which Ah, The Carved Pipe, The Tall Woman and Her Short Husband, The Magic Whip, Three-inch Golden Lotus, Pearl Bird and Earthly Wonders all won the National Literature Award, and Thanks for Life won the French Witch Award, the Youth Reading Award and Switzerland.
