Strengthening safety education and cultivating children's safety awareness are the most important issues at present. According to the laws and characteristics of children's physical and mental development, we should flexibly adopt various methods and forms, actively create situations, skillfully design regional activities, strengthen home ties, and seize the opportunity to educate children on safety and self-protection so as to truly establish children's safety awareness. Only by letting children learn to protect themselves can we effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of safety accidents.

In recent years, children's safety accidents have occurred constantly, and accidental injuries have become the first killer threatening children's lives and healthy growth. How to reduce accidents and improve children's quality of life has increasingly become a concern of families, kindergartens and even the whole society.
Although safety work is important, it should not deprive children of their right to exercise and stifle the cultivation of their sports ability. Nowadays, there is a drawback in family education: parents always do everything instead, which makes children seriously lack safety awareness. If children can't tell what is safe and what is dangerous, they can't be sure no matter how closely their parents and teachers protect them. There is a saying that it is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish. Mastering the ideas and methods of safety work will take the initiative to prevent safety accidents. Therefore, strengthening safety education and cultivating children's safety awareness are the most important issues at present.
Parents and teachers not only have the responsibility to protect their children's life safety, but more importantly, they should give them preliminary safety guidance and education, improve their self-protection ability and help them establish safety awareness.
How to cultivate children's safety awareness, enrich children's safety knowledge, improve children's self-protection ability, master the skills and methods to protect themselves, and deal with some unexpected events that may occur in life. Combined with reality, I will talk about my views from the following points.
1. Create environment and realize safety education. Creating environment is the most intuitive way of education in kindergartens. Through interesting pictures, cartoons, symbols, photos and other arrangements, safety billboards or wall decoration, let children feel the safety education in the subtle environment.
Easy-to-understand pictures can interest children. In view of this feature, our school has created a cultural and educational wall on campus, set up a safety education column and posted some pictures of safety education to publicize safety knowledge to students. Let children feel that safety is always around us and pay attention to safety at any time.
Some simple images of signs and symbols can attract children's attention. We guide children to identify various common safety signs encountered in daily life, understand their meanings, and put corresponding warning signs at various potential safety hazards. For example, put a sign next to the power socket to remind children that there is electricity and danger here, so they can't play; Set a sign next to the heat preservation barrel to remind children that there is boiling water in the barrel and guide them to queue up for water to avoid burns; Put a sign on the balcony railing to remind children not to climb, and so on. These large and eye-catching signs play the role of safety tips. Since then, we have found that there are fewer people squeezing water, touching electric sockets and climbing railings. With the help of parents, some children also learned to make various safety symbols, which received unexpected results.
2. Create regional activities to arouse safety awareness.
Creating regional activities reasonably and skillfully can arouse children's safety awareness. A child in a big class likes to play with lighters. On one occasion, he even burned newspapers for fun. In response to this phenomenon, I conducted timely education. To this end, an "exhibition hall" and a "fire brigade" regional corner were opened. In the "exhibition hall", there are some pictures about fire hazards, fire prevention and how to put out the fire, and children are specially invited to be "commentators" of the exhibition to explain to the visiting teachers and companions and publicize the knowledge of self-protection. While carrying out targeted individual education, let the whole class know more about the use process and characteristics of various methods. In the corner of the "fire brigade" area, various simulated fire scenes are also set up to teach children how to leave the scene safely and improve their self-help ability.
3, situational performance, strengthen safety awareness.
The child is still young and lacks certain life experience. Simple preaching methods, such as scratching boots, can't achieve real educational effect. Situational performance is a method that children are willing to accept, which can strengthen their safety awareness. For example, we designed an activity "Fangfang Lost". In the regional activities, we arranged a supermarket for children and their mothers to pretend to be lost, perform various emergency methods and evaluate their own behavior. Then, teachers and students concluded that if you lose it, don't panic. Remember your parents' names, work units, telephone numbers, home addresses and obvious architectural features around you. This example vividly teaches children not to panic in case of emergency, but to use their brains and try their best to take effective measures to minimize the danger.
4, random education, infiltration of safety awareness.
It is also a good way to grasp the instantaneous accidents in children's life activities in time and carry out random safety education. For example, during recess, a child plays with the switch and wire of TV. I seized this event, combined with the science activity class, and conducted a small experiment with electricity, so that children could understand the dangers of electricity and electrical appliances, and educated them not to touch and move power switches, sockets, wires and electrical appliances. And let children know what is dangerous and will harm their health. For another example, when playing a slide, I found a child riding on the handrail of the slide, which stopped him in time and avoided the accident. Another child jumped from the height of the slide and sprained his foot. I seized this case, told the children about the danger of jumping from a height, and randomly educated them. Always remind children to pay attention to safety and protect their lives. )
5, family cooperation, * * * with education.
The close cooperation between children's families and kindergartens and the synchronous education of children's safe and self-care homes are the necessary guarantee for their healthy and safe growth. In the process of cultivating children's safety awareness, teachers should ask parents to cooperate closely. Nowadays, many parents hold the wrong idea of "less activities and less accidents" because they are afraid of their children being injured by accident. Many things that should be done by children themselves are taken over by parents, which strictly limits children's various behaviors, deprives children of practical opportunities and loses their preventive ability. In view of this situation, we held a parent-teacher meeting to introduce the significance of cultivating children's self-protection ability to parents in detail. Set up a family contact column, regularly post some common sense about children's self-protection ability on the family contact column, and publicize some methods to cultivate children's self-protection ability to parents. With the support and cooperation of parents, our education has achieved twice the result with half the effort.
According to the laws and characteristics of children's physical and mental development, our school uses various effective methods to educate children on safety and self-protection, and has achieved good results. We found that in the activity, the teacher's reminder is gradually decreasing, while the child's reminder is increasing, and the child has learned to take the initiative to defend.
