1. The general directory needs a new page. Click the last paragraph of text on the previous page, and then click Insert-Page Break-Page Break on the toolbar. Or insert a blank page and start a new page.
2. In a blank page, click Reference-Directory, select a directory style or a custom directory, and click it to generate it automatically.
3. How to set the 123 level outline in the table of contents: select the title text to be set-click the right mouse button-select paragraph-outline level-drop-down arrow-1 level, level 2 or level 3. Finalize.
4. If the text of a paragraph appears when the table of contents is automatically generated, use the method in the previous step to check whether the outline level of "the text" is "body", and if not, modify it.
5. After setting the title and automatically generating the table of contents, or modifying the title content, you can automatically update the table of contents by referencing-table of contents update-updating the whole table of contents.
