Abstract: The ancients took characters as their names. In junior high school Chinese education papers, there is often a meaningful connection between names and characters. This paper discusses the names of junior high school Chinese education test papers of relevant characters in The Analects of Confucius, and finds that there are synonyms, correlation and relative relations between the names and characters in The Analects of Confucius, as well as words generated by analyzing the names as characters, homophones as characters and names with modifiers. At the same time, from the relationship between names and characters, we can also understand some social production and living conditions in ancient times. Therefore, studying the names of characters in The Analects of Confucius has certain linguistic, cultural and historical significance. The relationship between "name" and "word" has been studied by predecessors But this paper focuses on the names and personalities of the characters in The Analects. And the "names" and "characters" of the characters in The Analects of Confucius were investigated in detail.
