Paper on "Analysis of the Causes and Essence of Sino-US Trade Friction"
(1) The huge trade deficit between China and the United States is the direct cause of the trade friction between China and the United States. According to the statistics of the US Department of Commerce, in 2007, the trade in goods between the United States and China was $386.75 billion, an increase of 12.8% over 2006. Among them, US exports to China reached US$ 65.24 billion, up by18.2%; Imports were US$ 3,265,438+US$ 0,51billion, an increase of US$ kloc-0/.7%. At the same time, the US trade deficit with China reached US$ 256.27 billion in 2007, an increase of 10.2%, accounting for 310.4% of the total US merchandise deficit in the same period.

Infringement in the fields of trademarks and technology is serious. These have seriously affected the interests of the United States and become one of the reasons leading to trade friction. The unequal economic interdependence between China and the United States determines that the trade friction between China and the United States will inevitably become a normal state and will not disappear in the short term. China must take effective measures to eliminate the factors causing Sino-US trade frictions, maintain the healthy development of trade between the two countries, and strive to minimize the frequency and harm of Sino-US trade frictions. (1) Make active use of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. One of the significance of China's accession to the WTO is that it is conducive to solving international trade disputes between China and other countries through the WTO trade dispute settlement mechanism in the multilateral trading system. We should be familiar with and adapt to the WTO and other international trade rules, actively use the multilateral mechanism of the WTO to safeguard our own rights and interests, avoid and deal with all possible accusations, and be in a favorable position in trade frictions. When dealing with trade frictions with the United States, we should make full use of the WTO's trade dispute settlement mechanism to safeguard China's economic rights and interests. (2) Strengthen the consultation between the two governments. Strengthen regular and irregular talks between Chinese and American governments, exchange economic and scientific information and views in a timely manner, and actively resolve trade disputes.

(4) Encourage domestic enterprises to invest abroad. The implementation of this strategy can not only improve the industrial structure of China.

Structure, but also can well alleviate trade friction. In order to reduce the trade friction caused by the continuous growth of China's export volume in recent years, we can expand exports through overseas investment, which is a development strategy that export enterprises must attach importance to. This is an effective measure to enhance the international competitiveness of China enterprises and reduce the trade friction between China and the United States. (5) Accelerate the implementation of intellectual property strategy, cultivate independent brands and improve the competitiveness of enterprises. Whether in order to gain a stable market share or improve economic benefits, enterprises should start with improving product grades, form personalized competitive advantages of products and build international brands of products. From the long-term development trend of enterprises, the way out lies in establishing brand image, improving the reputation of China products in the world consumer market and adopting brand competition strategy.
