Yuntai Mountain World Heritage
In 2007, the "South China Karst" (the first batch) composed of sword-shaped, columnar and tower-shaped karst in Yunnan Shilin, Libo forest karst in Guizhou and Wulong three-dimensional karst in Chongqing was successfully selected as a world natural heritage.

In view of the unique karst landform of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Spot in Shibin, in 2008, with the approval of Guizhou provincial government, Yuntai Mountain Scenic Spot in Shibin was listed as one of the second batch of pre-selected places to declare the world natural heritage "Karst in South China".

According to reports, the planned scenic area of Shibing Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is 100 square kilometers, including Yuntai Mountain, Cunninghe River and Heichong. There is an ancient, complete and relatively large dolomite karst in the scenic spot, which is the most beautiful in the world, which was not found in Wulong, Shilin and Libo before, and its uniqueness is very obvious.

In order to welcome the application for World Heritage, Shibin updated the signs of scenic spots, started the collection and compilation of popular science papers in Yuntai Mountain, and planned to invest huge sums of money to build a heritage exhibition park.

On 20 13, Yuntai Mountain in Shibin was approved by the State Council as the second-phase world natural heritage declaration project of "Karst in South China".

20 14 On June 23rd, the 38th General Assembly of UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Doha, Qatar announced that the second phase of "Karst in South China", consisting of Guilin, Shibing in Guizhou, Jinfo Mountain in Chongqing and Huanjiang in Guangxi, was included in the World Heritage List as an extension of "Karst in South China". Yuntai Mountain is an important part of Shibing Karst World Natural Heritage Site.
