On September 4th, in the "Summit Seminar: Digital Empowerment and Innovation of Automobile Industry", Lu Jinjun, President of Industrial Industry Division of China Telecom Group, introduced how communication operators such as China Telecom helped the digital transformation of automobile industry in data transmission, big data processing and artificial intelligence platform.

Thanks to the host and industry partners. First of all, I'll talk about my feelings. After listening to several speeches and teacher Xin's comments, I gained a lot. In particular, the next development trend of smart cars has strengthened my determination. As a 70-year-old, I will definitely become 3% of Director Xu, who is most interested in smart cars.

I come from China Telecom, and my topic is "Cloud to Digital". We are operators, and we have been providing support to thousands of enterprises. How to understand the transition from cloud to digital is the group's development strategy, which is not only our own development strategy, but also our strategy of empowering customers.

The cloud reform is very clear, and the intelligent era must go to the cloud. Just now I talked about Apple's mobile phone. The biggest change of Apple's mobile phone is that everything is in the cloud. As an intelligent terminal, our car must be inseparable from the cloud. All our systems in China Telecom are also in the cloud, which is also subjective and objective. Subjectively speaking, the cloud is a surprise for IT. Without the cloud, we can't support the Internet, so everyone doesn't go to the business hall and handles it on the mobile phone. The core of digital rotation is digitalization, and the core of our intelligent network is data. The transformation of China Telecom itself is also a digital process. Our network should be digitized, and so should our services. To this end, we have also done a great thing. We will merge two departments, the network department and the IT department, that is, we can effectively connect data, and the core is to drive our own development through data.

Correspondingly, in this process, we have formed our infrastructure capabilities, and our technical capabilities have been used to serve our thousands of industries.

Director Xu made it very clear that we would like to share these aspects again. The core must be data-driven. We must change our production, service and business model through data. Of course, the most important thing is to change your mind. The changes after 60 s and 70 s are slow and influenced by tradition. We must change our ideas. Of course, there are many definitions of digital transformation. We don't think this is very important. The key is networking, data and intelligence. The core foundation is new technology, 5G, artificial intelligence and big data. From the development direction, the four sentences in this picture are actually the notice issued by the State Council on the digital transformation of state-owned enterprises. There are four directions in the notice: digital product innovation, digital production and operation, digital ecosystem and digital customer service. A little more expansion will involve car companies. Our product innovation, our intelligence, electrification and networking are obviously the innovation direction of our car companies. Intelligent production and operation. How does our factory use 5G technology? How to use artificial intelligence and how to use high performance computing to improve production and operation capabilities.

Ecological industrial system. Just now, Mr. Xpeng Motors talked about the whole supply chain, including our whole development. Judging from our cooperation with some SAIC, how to coordinate the supply chain more effectively is a very important challenge facing automobile companies at present. The ecology of this system is very important, and of course, the agility of customer service. In the end, 2C is needed to know the running situation of automobiles, and more information must be collected through data, which can be better fed back to customers and car factories, so as to better serve customers.

It is in this direction that we can see that digital transformation is a typical view, which depends on a highly digital foundation, MIT and Capgemini Consulting. This module was extracted and expanded to understand that the foundation is core digital competence. What are these supported by? Cloud, network and data security are necessary supports, which is precisely the core competitiveness of China Telecom. This diagram further refines these capabilities, and the core is around data. As I said just now, the core of digital transformation must be data-driven. It is precisely because of data drive that our core competence can fully reflect its value.

First of all, data needs to be transmitted, and the network must be needed. What we are talking about now is 5G. 5G is basically a network, but it can collect data better, with wider bandwidth, lower delay and greater connection. Of course, it is not limited to 5G. We also have other networks, including fixed networks, and others are not necessarily mobile networks. There are also Internet of Things, satellite networks and network transmission of data. What does the cloud and data center do? It carries data. We have cooperated with car companies for many years in the past two years, so cloud facilities are more important. The third is the ability of big data. Big data is the ability to process these data. After so much data comes up, it is necessary to have both calculation ability and algorithm, and it must be calculated.

The fourth is artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the most widely used in smart cars, and it is also a variety of applications and algorithm capabilities of artificial intelligence. Another very important point is safety ability. Data will gather together, and the original dispersion is risky. Now it is intensive on the platform, and the risks are also increasing. How to avoid it is precisely the core competence. Cloud-to-data is the core competitiveness of China Telecom.

Let's expand the 5G custom network. Now, big car companies must customize the network, and the data does not leave the park and the data does not leave the factory. For car networking, they run on a big platform, so we provide three private network modes, whether you are entertainment, VR or car networking services. In fact, there are quite a few combinations of these networks and cars. Our recent successful case is that the first prize of the Blooming Cup yesterday was an unmanned mine card of Zhuneng Group. In no man's land, we need network coverage and car control.

The second is optical network. We all agree that we can't just talk about wireless networks, and the combination of wired and wireless is the best effect. We provide a nationwide network and cloud for corporate customers and provide a solid foundation. We cooperate with large enterprises and large automobile enterprises to build a set of fine network models with fixed network connection and 5G to realize the networking of our industrial enterprises.

The third is the edge intelligence of cloud and network integration. We know that more and more enterprises need a lot of edge computing power to coordinate the vehicles and roads of intelligent transportation, whether it is production or future intelligent transportation. Combined with MEC platform to reduce the edge of 5G, AGV autopilot can be controlled in the factory, and the future control includes a wider range of driving, including a series of applications of industrial identification quality supervision.

The fourth aspect is computing power, which will not be developed. China Telecom is the largest IDC operator in China, and we have many computing centers all over the country and even around the world. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Center has just been completed and put into operation, which is 2+4+4 1. Our biggest one is in Guizhou, including Tianjin in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

It is hoped that the wide coverage of the vehicle networking base can support the networking of vehicles and enterprises. The core is the wireless network infrastructure, as well as the coverage of edge computing power. In other words, the cloud network capability we just mentioned is aimed at how car companies can carry out targeted work. This work is indeed a professional organization that we actively cooperate with our car companies and report to you here. Just the day before yesterday, China Telecom Tianyi Trading Company was formally established, and we will also develop together with the transportation field.

Just said cloud network. Simply put, some data-driven and data-driven industrial Internet platforms developed by themselves can support various manufacturing enterprises to build industrial Internet platforms, such as Wei Chai and Sany Heavy Industry, and help them provide industrial Internet platforms. In addition, we took the lead in building the National Internet Big Data Center, which was also completed in June this year. Then, there are many key industries and regional sub-centers in various regions. This project, led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and promoted by China Telecom as the main contractor, includes government-oriented supervision and data transaction. Of course, with the accumulation of data of automobile enterprises in the future, this industry will definitely have unified management and services.

Just now, Dean Xin said that data accumulation is still a long process, and artificial intelligence is also an artificial intelligence platform independently developed. At present, Tian Yun Zhuge platform has a lot of data, you can call it! As an operator, it can develop by itself and hope to cooperate with artificial intelligence enterprises. At present, artificial intelligence is data-driven artificial intelligence, which is relatively easy to get started, but has poor interoperability and needs to train many algorithms separately. On the one hand, we provide an operating platform in this area, and on the other hand, we cooperate extensively to attract everyone to build an artificial intelligence ecosystem. Of course, the next generation of artificial intelligence needs us to further promote it with the industry.

The fourth aspect is the security vision. On the one hand, our car companies pay special attention to data security. On the other hand, once some data security problems appear on the road, it may bring particularly serious consequences. There are media reports in the previous paragraph that we are a company that pays special attention to safety. We unveiled two companies the day before yesterday, and another company, Tianyi Security Company, has settled in Suzhou. We signed a strategic agreement with the Suzhou Municipal Government. We have systems in network security, cloud security, data security and terminal security, hoping to support the development of our automobile industry. We noticed that on August 16, five ministries and commissions jointly issued "Several Provisions on Vehicle Data Security Management (Trial)", because the coordination of the whole vehicle and road brought security loopholes in all aspects of traffic, from the vehicle to the network, to the platform to many related links, as well as regulatory departments and transportation departments. How to play the role of operators in these aspects is definitely our responsibility, and we are particularly willing to cooperate with vehicle manufacturers.

The effect of promoting the development of industrial internet in the past two years is also very remarkable. These pictures list many achievements. As you know, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has jointly held the Blooming Cup Application Competition with 5G for four consecutive years. We have completed the track finals of the industrial Internet, and the finals will follow. Many outstanding achievements of so many companies have been shortlisted for our finals, including applications from many car companies.

Here is a brief report on the situation. Together with FAW, we provided our high-performance HPC platform. We said that infrastructure must be our advantage. Let's provide FAW with such computing power, so that the design capability of simulation can be greatly improved.

The networking platform of GM-Wuling Automobile also provides a Lu Yun for GM-Wuling through the integrated Internet of Things system, which realizes the cloudization of the core system of the remote service platform and improves the business agility, so it is a combination of network and cloud.

The third case is the application of 5G in the workshop. Many cases have been reviewed in these two days. The application of 5G in the workshop is becoming more and more mature. Of course, when Mr. Chen introduced it just now, the three advantages of 5G are mainly used in the workshop according to the scene, such as AGV cars, which are mainly low-latency applications, plus high bandwidth, not to mention wide connection. There are dozens or hundreds in the warehouse.

In addition, machine vision inspection is very extensive. In addition, in terms of unmanned driving, we have realized the unmanned driving of vehicles in large factories. This place was specifically mentioned by Mr. Xin just now. The unmanned driving in a specific area is relatively mature and the combination with 5G is also very close.

The fourth case is Shandong Heavy Industry. From consulting to system construction, Shandong Heavy Industry hopes to combine its own independent research and development platform with them, and has been developing a group-level industrial Internet cloud base. This is also the total output of cloud and big data capability plus 5G network capability, and it is also a very successful application case. Above, I gave you a brief report on our ability to transform from cloud to digital. Second, how to better serve the digital transformation of car companies.

Frankly speaking, we are still new recruits in serving car companies, and we have just joined you in this field. At the same time, we also see that in the stage of industrial Internet development and smart car development, we really need the integration of our ecology.
