German composer Karl Maria Ernst von Weber's opera "Song of Freedom" was started in 18 19, and successfully premiered in 182 1 year at the Royal Opera House in Berlin. Today, it is still one of the most popular plays on the opera stage. The opera script was adapted by Weber's friend Ghent according to the ancient folklore about vicious hunters in the story collection of German writer Appel. The author thinks this work is his only complete opera work.
