1. In word, click Format-select the format and style (after selection, it will appear on the right side of the document).
2. In the format and style, select a valid style, and the title 1 and title 2 will appear. If there are four or five titles, right-click any title and select Modify. A box will appear. Select Heading 4 or 5 in the subsequent paragraph style, and then click OK.
3. Then, according to your paper, choose the title of the abstract, the abstract, the first chapter and the references as 1,1as the title 2, and so on.
4. Click Insert-Citation-Index and Table of Contents-Table of Contents (only three-level titles are displayed, and the display level can be modified according to the paper). Just generate it.
5. Modify the directory, right-click the directory, select the update field, and update the page number.
Remarks:
1. When choosing a topic, you must only pay attention to the text of multiple-choice items.
2. You can right-click the text type of the title, select Modify and set it to the font you want.
3. The generated directory can modify the font and spacing.
4. Because the page numbers of the preceding text and the main text are different, you can use separators. For example, on the first page, click Insert-Delimiter-Next Page, and then Insert-Page Number-Select Type.
