Does the infusion speed affect the body?
This mainly depends on the drug type of infusion and the physical condition of the patient. Some drugs should not be infused too fast, otherwise it will aggravate the side effects and stimulate blood vessels. Some patients have poor cardiac function, and too fast infusion may lead to heart failure. Some drugs, such as mannitol, must be infused quickly to reduce intracranial pressure and control brain edema, thus improving osmotic pressure and dehydration.
