Keywords:: moral education of postgraduate campus culture construction

Postgraduate campus cultural activities are an important part of postgraduate moral education and the main carrier of postgraduate self-education, which plays an important role in creating academic atmosphere and improving the quality of personnel training. Taking Shantou University's "Postgraduate Cultural Tour" as an example, this paper analyzes and summarizes the practice and experience of Shantou University's postgraduate campus cultural construction, and actively discusses the working ideas of postgraduate campus cultural system construction.

Campus culture construction is an important task of college students' ideological and political education. The document "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Education for College Students" clearly puts forward that we should "vigorously build campus culture" and that colleges and universities should "carefully design and organize campus cultural activities with rich and attractive contents, such as ideological and political, academic science and technology, entertainment and sports, and infiltrate moral education, intellectual education, physical education and aesthetic education into campus cultural activities, so that students can be edified in participating activities. Therefore, strengthening the management of graduate campus cultural activities is an important part of graduate moral education and plays an important role in comprehensively improving the comprehensive quality of graduate students.

1 Status of Cultural Activities on Graduate Campus

Campus culture is an environment and an atmosphere, and it is the main carrier of students' self-education, that is, it infects students in a non-mandatory way, which plays a role in cultivating students' ability and honing students' moral character, and gradually internalizes it into the formation of students' innovative ability. Therefore, the role of campus culture in talent training cannot be underestimated. In 2004, the Central Committee 16 clearly pointed out that colleges and universities should strengthen the ideological and political education of college students by carefully organizing and designing various campus cultural activities. Colleges and universities have made positive and beneficial attempts in this respect and gradually formed their own unique campus culture. However, because most colleges and universities are undergraduates, the focus of campus culture construction is mainly on undergraduates, and the campus cultural activities of graduate students are often ignored, which seems to be on the edge of campus culture. In addition, graduate students are characterized by more academic research, less extracurricular activities, diversified students, strong sense of independence and diversified ideas. Many activities are not organized and designed according to the unique characteristics and laws of graduate students, which makes the enthusiasm of graduate students to participate in campus cultural activities low.

2 characteristics of graduate campus cultural activities

In 2007, the Youth League Committee of Peking University conducted an investigation on the campus culture development of graduate students in Peking University. The survey results show that there are three characteristics in the campus cultural life of graduate students: low enthusiasm, strong academics and unclear personality. The characteristics of "strong academic" and "dim personality" show that graduate students like all kinds of campus cultural life similar to undergraduate students except academic activities, and there is no significant difference in their demands for campus cultural life. The reason for the "low enthusiasm" of graduate students' campus cultural life is the lack of scientific research time, which reveals that we have serious shortcomings in developing and carrying out campus cultural activities that meet the needs of graduate students and highlight their characteristics.

3 Shantou University's attempt in the construction of postgraduate campus culture

In recent years, with the continuous expansion of graduate education, the employment situation of graduate students has become increasingly severe. At the same time, with the gradual deepening of China's reform and opening up, the diversification of society has led to the diversification of graduate students' thoughts, which has had a profound impact on graduate students' world outlook, outlook on life and values. In order to strengthen and improve the ideological and political education of graduate students, solve their doubts and puzzles in study, scientific research, employment, life and emotion, and guide students to establish a correct outlook on life and values, Shantou University, according to the characteristics of graduate students, closely focuses on the implementation of the spirit of the Central Committee 16 document in 2004, adheres to people-oriented, close to reality, close to life and close to students, and has persisted in finding the spiritual home of graduate students for many years to enrich their spiritual life.

The "cultural tour of graduate students" is conducted in the form of travel. There are three stops in the whole journey, from the first stop to "learn the way to find seclusion", through the second stop to "Summer Flowers on the other side" and finally to the terminal "We are on the road". The whole activity lasted for nearly a month. The first stop is called "Learning to Seek the Way of Peace", and the theme is the pursuit of learning. The organizers invited well-known professors who have made achievements in many fields, such as literature, science, engineering and medicine, to explain the methods and experiences of academic research for the students, reveal the true meaning of academic research and relieve the confusion of academic introduction. In the second stop, "the other shore of summer flowers", the majority of graduate students discussed topics such as campus life, interpersonal relationship, personal accomplishment, life and emotion with outstanding graduates of psychology and management, excellent counselors and well-known professors. In the end, we are on the road station invited many professors and scholars with rich life experiences inside and outside the school to talk about their ways of studying, entrepreneurial experiences, ups and downs of life, so that students can feel life, motivate themselves, plan the future and establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values in extraordinary life experiences. Although the interview time at each stop is only over two hours, the whole "graduate cultural tour" covers a wide range, from the first stop to solve the initial confusion, to the campus life at the second stop, and then to the life perception and future planning at the third stop, which can be said to have solved many representative problems encountered by graduate students during their school days.

It is particularly worth mentioning that the last stop-"We are on the road" pushed the whole "cultural journey of postgraduate entrance examination" to a climax. The organizer named this station "We are on the Road" because people often compare life to a road. If each of us wants to reach the place of our dreams, we must move on. And whenever we come to the crossroads of life and don't know how to choose, or encounter thorns and confusion on the way forward, the advice and help of our tutors and friends are precious to us.

4. "Postgraduate Cultural Tour" activities and organizational experience

"Postgraduate Culture" in Shantou University

By inviting famous scholars, experts, psychologists and outstanding graduates inside and outside the school, the brigade communicated with the majority of graduate students in the form of interviews, covering many issues of interest to graduate students, such as how to study, how to plan life, how to treat life and emotions, how to deal with interpersonal relationships, how to improve moral cultivation, etc., which are difficult for graduate students to cope with or be confused. This form and content are widely welcomed by graduate students. In the whole series of activities of "Cultural Journey for Postgraduates", the end of each activity will arouse a warm response within the graduate students and on bbs, and some people will express their opinions, suggestions and expectations. Various discussions, suggestions and praises on bbs have given the organizers great confidence. More importantly, the activity attracted many graduate students and undergraduates to join the journey, which made the whole activity have a great impact on the school, played a great role in helping and inspiring graduate students' study, life and even life planning, and effectively solved the practical problems of graduate students in study, scientific research, employment, life and emotion. Judging from the effect of the whole activity, Shantou University's "Cultural Tour for Postgraduates" series of activities has achieved the goal that the ideological and political education of postgraduates must be targeted, timely, attractive and infectious, and it is also a very meaningful measure to further strengthen and improve the ideological and political education of postgraduates closely around the spirit of the Central Committee 16 document.

Campus cultural activities of graduate students are an important part of ideological and political education of graduate students, and play an important role in creating academic atmosphere and improving the quality of personnel training. Shantou University's "Cultural Tour for Postgraduates" series of activities is a useful attempt of ideological and political education for postgraduates in colleges and universities, which has achieved remarkable results and accumulated good work experience:

(1) To strengthen the construction of graduate campus culture, we must adhere to the concept of "people-oriented", be close to students, respect students and understand students. In view of the three characteristics of postgraduate campus cultural activities, the organizational design of the activities must have a certain academic content, and at the same time, it should not be greedy for perfection. We should pay attention to the characteristics of campus cultural activities as the "second classroom" and play its auxiliary role in postgraduate education and training. First of all, we should respect and highlight the subjectivity of graduate students, give full play to and mobilize their subjective initiative, and create a stage for them to show themselves, learn actively and educate each other; Secondly, to highlight the blending, flexibility and inclusiveness of activities, students from different majors can be organized together for cross-professional, cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary exchanges; Finally, we should focus on the future career orientation of graduate students and provide them with learning and exercise opportunities that they can't get in the first class. Only in this way can educational activities be recognized and welcomed by students.

(2) With the increasing proportion of graduate students in colleges and universities year by year, schools should pay more attention to graduate campus culture and establish and improve organizations at all levels for the construction of graduate campus culture. First, strengthen the leading role of graduate party organizations in the construction of campus culture, and give full play to the guiding role of party organizations in educating people. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of graduate student associations at all levels, improve the institutional setup, clarify their respective responsibilities, fully mobilize all forces, and jointly build graduate campus culture.

(3) Promote the construction of postgraduate campus culture with the mode of "vertical and horizontal integration", and all parties make joint efforts. "Horizontal" refers to integrating resources around a certain theme and comprehensively promoting the construction of theme culture in a relatively concentrated period of time. For example, several sub-forums can be set up at the same time according to the characteristics of the subject in the postgraduate academic forum activities. "Vertical" refers to the long-term focus on an important theme in cultural work, and the planned, step-by-step and step-by-step promotion and continuous strengthening of the theme connotation, such as "postgraduate cultural tour" activities. "Horizontal" activities can meet the diverse cultural needs of graduate students and create a strong campus concentrated cultural atmosphere in a short time, thus achieving greater coverage and benefits. "Vertical" activities accurately grasp the needs of graduate students in a certain field and adopt a step-by-step approach, which makes the influence of the activities expand with the passage of time, increases the coverage and benefits, and enhances the effect of the activities.

(4) Actively explore new ways of students' ideological and political education, and adhere to the combination of inheriting fine traditions and improving and innovating. Take the initiative to occupy the new position of network ideological and political education, make full use of the convenient and fast characteristics of the network, and keep abreast of students' ideological trends. Taking moral education into the network as a favorable opportunity to enhance the effectiveness, we should refine the traditional moral education methods and content system, increase the research on the characteristics of network groups, and enhance the effectiveness of moral education through targeted content, effective carriers and colorful forms.
