Nowadays, at home, children are the center of the family. No matter what they eat or wear, no one competes with them. In life, parents mostly do it for them, which makes children lack exercise since childhood and develop a dependent and exclusive character. In modern society, competition is everywhere, from competition among students to competition among colleagues. If there is no sense and ability of competition, it is difficult for a person to gain a foothold in society. Therefore, in order to make children adapt to tomorrow's competition and become strong in life, we must pay attention to the cultivation of children's competitive consciousness from an early age.
First, build children's confidence and set appropriate goals.
In order to win the competition, the key is to establish a positive attitude, let the children see their own strengths and advantages, and thus become a confident person. Teachers can guide children to see if they are different from before, whether they have regressed or made progress, learn to compare themselves vertically, see what progress they have made, what progress they can make through hard work, and how to make progress through hard work. In kindergarten, weekly evaluation of safflower is a good opportunity. Teachers can adopt various methods to let children talk about the progress and shortcomings of each child this week, praise or reward the progress, put forward corresponding requirements for the shortcomings with positive language, and help children establish appropriate goals. This goal can be achieved by children through hard work, so that children can gradually establish the confidence that "I can do it, I am no worse than others".
Second, create a competitive environment and feel the competitive atmosphere
Because of the limitations of their own understanding, it is difficult for children to understand what competition is, which requires adults to guide them purposefully and feel that they can join the competition from irrelevant competition scenes. For younger children, we can purposefully guide them to watch some competitive TV programs or competitions, feel the intense competition scenes, such as watching races, swimming and other competitions, and let the children know that everyone wants to be the first, and only by winning the championship can they win the gold medal.
For older children, we can carry out some competitive games, such as dressing-up competition and origami competition, so that children can enhance their sense of competition in the activities. It is worth mentioning that children who are too far apart should not be allowed to participate in the competition. Instead, children are divided into several groups according to their different levels of development, so that children of different levels can set different goals and feel the joy of success.
Third, cultivate the spirit of innovation and learn from each other's strengths.
In our teaching activities, we attach great importance to saying to children, "Can you think of a good way that is different from others?" "See which child draws differently from others." In fact, this is to encourage children to innovate and support children to surpass others. This is very important to cultivate children and sense of competition. The proper strategy of competition is that you have nothing, you have me, hello, hello. In this process, we should not only carry forward our own strengths and reflect our own abilities, but also learn to learn from the strengths of others to make up for our own shortcomings, constantly enrich and develop ourselves, and at the same time be good at bringing forth the new on the basis of accumulated experience and winning by innovation. Therefore, on the one hand, teachers should guide children to be good at cooperating with others and make use of others' strengths to make up for their own shortcomings, on the other hand, they should pay attention to providing children with a relaxed psychological environment and encourage them to use their brains, try boldly and innovate constantly. When children have different ideas from others, they should be encouraged and praised, so that children can realize the value and happiness of innovation, thus further enhancing their awareness and confidence of surpassing others through innovation.
Fourth, accept frustration education and improve competitiveness.
In the competition, there is no ever-victorious general, and no one can win every time. Therefore, teachers should guide children to treat failures and setbacks correctly, and know that the strong are always strong. Some children play chess with their parents at home, and they can only win, not lose. If they lose, they cheat, so their parents can only let them win. If they do this for a long time, it is easy to have a negative impact, so that children can't afford to lose. Therefore, letting children receive some frustration education can cultivate their will and make them feel that failure is not terrible. Only by adjusting your mentality in time after failure and eliminating unnecessary negative emotions such as nervousness, anxiety and inferiority can you win the next success.
