How to cite documents in papers
First of all, the thesis is based on the requirements of my own school, and then take this thesis as a reference.

The paper must list references and explain the scientific basis and source of the writing content, so that readers can find extended reading. If you cite others' achievements, you should list the sources to respect others' scientific research achievements.

Importance of references

References reflect the author's scientific attitude and the true and extensive scientific basis of the paper, as well as the starting point and depth of the paper. It is convenient for the author of the paper to distinguish from the previous achievements, which is a respect for the labor achievements of others. It is convenient for readers to search and find relevant information. It is helpful to save the length of the paper and help scientific and technological information personnel to carry out information research and quantitative research.

Sequential coding system

There are four kinds of reference systems: author-publication year system (Harvard system), sequential coding system, alphanumeric system and publication year sequential system.

For example, if the references of undergraduate dissertations are marked with sequential coding system. That is to say, the references are sorted and listed in the form of [1], [2] and [3] according to the order in which they appear in the whole dissertation, and placed in the upper right corner at the end of the text mentioned in the article, before or after punctuation, depending on the citation table.

Marking method of cited documents in text

The marks of the cited documents in this paper should be placed in the upper right corner of the last word of the cited content, and the numbers of the cited documents should be placed in square brackets with Arabic numerals, and the upper corner should be marked with No.4 small font.

When referring to a single document, as shown in example 1;

When quoting two documents, the serial number of each document is placed in the same square bracket and separated by commas (don't pause), as shown in Example 2.

If there are more than two consecutive serial numbers, you can use the range number "~" (whole body "-"in Chinese and hyphen "-"in foreign languages) to connect the starting serial number and the ending serial number, as shown in Example 3.

If the document serial number is used as a part of the narrative text, the contribution number is parallel to the text, and each document should be placed in square brackets, as shown in Examples 4 and 5;

If the same document is repeatedly quoted in different places in the text, the full text will only be marked with the serial number when it first appears, and the same serial number will be marked everywhere thereafter; If you need to mark the reference page number, you can mark the page number outside the square brackets, as shown in Example 6, or you can mark it in other clear ways.

Description method of reference list after text

Arrange the references according to the serial number cited in the paper, not according to the author, nor regardless of the language. When there are multiple authors, the authors are separated by western commas, and only the first three are listed, followed by "et al ..". In a sentence, all western symbols should be left blank.

The description format of references is written in strict accordance with the following formats (including punctuation marks):

It should also be noted that abbreviations of foreign authors' names and foreign periodicals' names in references do not need to be abbreviated. Foreign language authors always put their surnames first, their first names last, and use their initials (China people use their full names instead of abbreviations). There is no comma between the last name and the first name. Names have two or more initials with a space between them. All the authors of the literature are listed within 3, and those over 4 are listed in the top 3, followed by "et al". Don't add "and" and "between authors, but separate them with commas. Capitalize the first word of foreign language titles, and do not write other words (except proper nouns). Foreign book titles should be abbreviated according to international standards, without abbreviations.

Special reminder: For western writers, when quoting, they should follow the western norms, that is, the first name should be followed by the last name, and the abbreviated part should be abbreviated. Take the reference [10] as an example, and its reference entry is:

How to label

First, we need to open the edited content in the word document, then click the mouse where we need to add comments, and then find the reference in the software-insert endnotes.

3. After clicking, we will see a small 1 at the mouse position and a small 1 at the end of the article. This is where we add comments, where we can mark the source of the reference.

If we don't like the default style of this note, we can also modify it. We found this annotation in it, right-click it, and then select footnotes and endnotes.

5. Then we find the format in the open window, and then choose the square bracket style, in which we can adjust the style.
