It was launched by institute for scientific information (ISI), a world-famous academic information publishing institution, in 20001year. After the reorganization of ISI assets, ESI became a part of Thomson Reuters.

2.ESI is a quantitative analysis database established by Thomson Reuters based on more than11000 documents of more than one academic journal collected by SCI and SSCI.
