He studied under the training course of painting materials and techniques taught by Professor Abraham Binkas of Paris Academy of Fine Arts.
Watercolor works have been selected into the first watercolor figure exhibition in China, the sixth, seventh and eighth national watercolor pastel exhibitions, the first national small watercolor exhibition, the centennial watercolor exhibition in China, the sketch exhibition of contemporary watercolor master Wuyuan, the centennial Cai Hua Movement, the second nomination exhibition of outstanding contemporary watercolor painters in China and Qujing, a famous watercolor painter in China.
Watercolor painting won the Excellence Award of National Art Exhibition to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the speech, and the Silver Award of Tianjin Exhibition Area; Bronze Award of "China Watercolor Sketch Exhibition"; Bronze Award of the Second Li Jianchen Prize Watercolor Biennale; "The 13th, 14th and 15th National Stars Award Art Photography Exhibition" has Tianjin Excellence Award, Bronze Award and Silver Award once each.
He has published four co-authored books, such as Cultivating the Character and Quality of Middle School Art Teachers, and three monographs, such as Shi Zengyou's Watercolor Works Collection and Shi Zengyou's Watercolor Landscape Sketch Collection. Among them, watercolor figure painting was included in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" textbook of colleges and universities, and a large-scale album "Sixty Years of Tianjin Watercolor" was compiled.
His watercolor paintings were selected in 2002, 2003, 2004 13, 14, 15, 16 Asian International Watercolor Exhibition and Asian Art Reception Exhibition, respectively, and the watercolor "Female Body No.2" was selected in the first watercolor figure exhibition in China. Speak > won the Excellence Award in the 60th National Art Exhibition, the watercolor painting "Female Body-No.4" won the Bronze Award in the China Watercolor Sketch Exhibition, and the watercolor painting "Pot" was selected in the first National Small Watercolor Exhibition.
Participated in the compilation of Cultivation of Humanistic Quality of Middle School Art Teachers, Course of Foreign Art History, Sketch of Gypsum Statue, Sketch of Gouache Still Life, Color, etc. Shi Zengxian's Watercolor Collection was published, and papers such as Analysis and Breakthrough of Teaching Difficulties in Watercolor Body Sketch Course and New Ideas of Art Education in Asia-Pacific Region in the New Century were published.
In 2003, Shi Zengyou's watercolor painting exhibition was sponsored by Tianjin Artists Association, Tianjin Normal University Art College and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.
