Abstract: Middle school is an extremely important stage to cultivate all-round talents, and it is also the golden age to implement quality education in the new curriculum reform. However, there will inevitably be many unpredictable problems in middle school music teaching. This paper first analyzes the new requirements of the new curriculum reform for middle school music teaching, and then mainly summarizes the problems existing in education, and summarizes the methods to solve these problems, and finally summarizes the article.

Although music has always been a part of middle school curriculum, due to the limitations of people's traditional cognition, not only schools, but also most parents regard it as a minor subject, ignoring its influence on students' all-round development. Under the new teaching concept of the new curriculum reform, middle school music education should be paid attention to. This paper mainly discusses the problems and solutions in music education in middle schools.
First, the new curriculum reform puts forward new requirements for middle school music teaching
Education has always been a hot issue that people pay attention to, and people engaged in education are committed to exploring new teaching methods. Either way, the ultimate goal is to cultivate all-round talents and improve teaching quality. There are different methods of music teaching in middle schools, but they all have the same connotation, that is, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, combining curriculum design with students' characteristics, and truly making full use of their talents, rather than the traditional "one size fits all". In addition, we must realize the role of middle school music courses in cultivating students' creativity and imagination. This subject can improve students' practical ability, innovative consciousness and thinking ability through design, and students can also hand over satisfactory works through hard work. Teachers should be aware of the uniqueness of this course, change the traditional teaching methods, and cultivate students' interest according to their characteristics, instead of their inner resistance to music lessons, so as to achieve all-round growth in the future development. In this regard, interest is regarded as a standard to measure the quality of middle school music teaching in the new curriculum reform.
Second, the problems in middle school music teaching
1, the teaching mode is ancient.
In the traditional teacher-centered music education in middle schools, teachers' teaching methods are single, mainly relying on teachers to lead students to sing or impart knowledge orally. This so-called "spoon-feeding" teaching greatly inhibits the enthusiasm of students. In the middle school music class, teachers should stimulate students' interest in learning, so that they can improve their aesthetic ability, appreciation ability and other comprehensive abilities in music. After the new curriculum reform, the theme of the class was given to the students, which mobilized the enthusiasm of the students to the greatest extent.
2. Insufficient teaching resources.
Music comes from life, and music teaching must also return to real life. To cultivate musical talents, we should let them really integrate into daily life and get inspiration from small things. If a tree wants to grow into a towering tree, it must absorb nutrients from the environment, and if it wants to make achievements in the music field, it must rely on music curriculum resources, which is also the basis of music class learning. Now that online music is popular, we can also take advantage of the convenience brought by the network. The popularity of the Internet will bring many benefits. If there is a lack of research on online music teaching resources, it will fall behind the times and the teaching quality will be difficult to guarantee, which will greatly affect the progress and development of students.
3. Learning consciousness is out of date.
Under the influence of traditional teaching methods, teachers generally adopt indoctrination teaching methods, which makes some students develop the disadvantages of rote learning. However, in today's rapidly changing world, innovation and ability are pursued, not in a simple sense. The knowledge reserve of repetition and rote memorization is even less respected. In this regard, students should establish a sense of the times, catch up with the pace of the times and seek new knowledge from life.
4. The teacher is unreasonable.
According to the research, the current middle school music teaching mostly has a single classroom content, most of which comes from textbooks and rarely expands, which makes the whole teaching process very boring and lacks innovation, which is not unrelated to the insufficient preparation of lessons by teachers, and the school has little investment in teachers. Even many music lessons are replaced by teachers from other disciplines. In addition, due to the low level of teachers, they think that music class is only a simple singing teaching for students, which makes it impossible for students to combine playing and singing organically. Simply teaching the basic knowledge of singing and music can't satisfy students' pursuit of music knowledge.
Third, measures to solve the problem of music education in middle schools
1, focusing on teaching skills
In order to solve the problem of music education in middle schools, teachers should offer other extended courses such as singing practice while teaching traditional courses, so that students can learn basic courses well and improve their listening and distinguishing ability at the same time. Paying attention to the application of teaching skills in middle school music courses will play a multiplier role in improving teaching quality.
2. Optimize curriculum resources
There are many sources of course content, which need to be integrated and sorted out with great efforts. To improve teaching quality, we must eradicate the disadvantages of traditional teaching, optimize curriculum resources, reduce students' dependence on books and improve their practical learning ability. With the popularity of the Internet, music curriculum resources on the Internet are playing an increasingly important role in teaching and helping students improve their music level. However, all kinds of resources on the network are mixed, which will be of great benefit if used correctly, but will have the opposite effect if used wrongly.
