As a famous composer of film and television songs in China, many of Lei Zhenbang's works have been well received by the broad masses of the people. Some songs, such as "Why Flowers Are So Red" and "Remembering Comrades" (both episodes of the movie "The Visitor on the Iceberg"), were almost household names after being sung by Li Guyi and Li Shuangjiang.
Lei Zhenbang was born in a superior family environment. He likes listening to Beijing opera since he was a child. When he was very young, he could hum a tune and even play some simple songs on the huqin. From 65438 to 0939, Lei Zhenbang went to Japan to study abroad and studied composition at Tokyo Higher Music School, Japan, with excellent results. 1943 returned to China and began his creative career.
After countless years of baptism, ups and downs of life, feeling the joys and sorrows of the world, Lei Zhenbang wrote one touching song after another.
Lei Zhenbang's film and song creation can be described as fruitful. A Brief Introduction to Lei Zhenbang created hundreds of unforgettable masterpieces in his life. Among them, he wrote songs for the films Five Golden Flowers, Sister Liu, The Visitor on the Iceberg, Jingpo Girl, Love Song of Lusheng, etc. It is also talked about by people because of its strong national color, vivid image and beautiful melody. Not only that, we can also feel the rich flavor of life in his songs, which stems from the composer's rich life experience and yearning and praise for a better life. The closeness of songs to life is the expression of his true feelings. Although he has never been a soldier, he has a deep understanding of the feelings, love and friendship between his comrades-in-arms, which can be felt from the film episode he filmed for the film "The Visitor on the Iceberg", which is inseparable from his careful observation of life and painstaking management of song creation. Although he experienced a lot of pain and encountered many difficulties, his efforts always paid off. After a long period of accumulation, Lei Zhenbang gradually stepped out of the barriers in the creation of film and television songs, and created one classic after another, leaving great spiritual wealth to the Chinese people. A Brief Introduction to Lei Zhenbang also won him various honors and made him famous in the field of composition. Once Lei Zhenbang's song started, people immediately went back to the movie. Back in those days, the shock and baptism they felt inside could not be expressed in words. Therefore, his achievements come from his rich life experience and unremitting pursuit of song creation.
The creation based on national folk music is a major feature of Lei Zhenbang's film and television songs. In the songs, there is a profound interpretation of the customs of ethnic minorities. Infiltrating the language of national music into song creation is not only a respect for mother tongue music, but also a promotion of traditional music culture. Coupled with a little understanding of life, Lei Zhenbang has successfully written one beautiful chapter after another, so his film and television songs have been widely praised by people and attracted the attention of academic circles. At present, the academic circles have studied Lei Zhenbang and his film and television songs, such as "Analysis of the National Characteristics of Lei Zhenbang's Film Music Creation" by Lv Jingzhi and Gao Zhimin, "Lei Zhenbang, the Father of China's Film Music" by Wang Haibin, "Lei Zhenbang and Three Music Classics" and so on. This paper introduces Lei Zhenbang from his life experience, his connection with film music and his music creation. The author hopes that through a deeper study of the artistic features and singing features of Lei Zhenbang's film and television songs, more scholars can understand the creative features of Lei Zhenbang and its influence on contemporary composers. Based on this, on the basis of a brief introduction of Lei Zhenbang's life and creation, the author takes his three movie songs "Why Flowers Are So Red", "Only Folk Songs Respect Relatives" and "Wedding Vows" as cases to analyze his creative background, musical characteristics and singing characteristics, so as to be a singer. My research on Lei Zhenbang and his movie songs may not be the most comprehensive, but it is an opportunity for the author to know more about movie songs. The analysis and research on music and singing can also provide a broader vision for the performance and development of China's movie songs.
1, Lei Zhenbang's life and movie songs.
1. 1 Composer Lei Zhenbang
Lei Zhenbang was born in Beijing at the age of 19 16. His parents are Manchu. Because of his well-off family, he began to be influenced by music very early. When I was a child, I liked listening to Beijing Opera and singing it, which was praised by others. He can also play the popular Peking Opera with Hu Qin. From 65438 to 0928, I entered a primary school in Shenyang and then went to Nanman Middle School. Because he likes music, has a high musical talent, and is favored by music teachers, Lei Zhenbang quickly mastered the skill of playing harmonica, and his level improved rapidly, which attracted the attention of the school performance team and became the conductor of the performance team with his superb musical literacy. Besides studying and performing, Lei Zhenbang will also adapt some popular songs to play the harmonica. Over time, the pursuit of music became an obsession of Lei Zhenbang. 1939 went to study in Japan and successfully entered the preparatory school of Japanese higher music school for further study. In a short time, he finished all his studies. Because of his outstanding performance in school and excellent grades, the principal specially approved him to skip one grade, and soon he became an undergraduate majoring in composition.
After returning to China, Lei Zhenbang first worked as a music teacher in a school. It was not until June, on the eve of the founding of New China, 1949 that he was transferred to China Film Orchestra to engage in professional composition. Since then, he has formed an indissoluble bond with movies. Lei Zhenbang was transferred to changchun film studio in April 1955. As one of the few major film studios in China at that time, changchun film studio provided Lei Zhenbang with a broad creative stage. The movie songs Sister Liu, The Visitor on the Iceberg, Miss Jingpo and Love Song of Lusheng, which were created for five golden flowers, were all completed during this period, and Lei Zhenbang himself became a real composer.
Lei Zhenbang is a legendary composer, and his classic film clips are always fresh in people's memory. In the movie "Third Sister Liu", Third Sister Liu sang that "Bodhisattva has a mouth but a gong has no mouth, the rich man has money but doesn't leave, and the copper coin has no feet." It is a good way to release the inner unhappiness and express the inner feelings incisively and vividly. In the movie scene, three poor scholars look cunning, which makes people hate it. The farmers sang in unison, and their loud voices resounded through the mountains. Magnificent, really shocking.
