Training objectives: This major trains senior engineering and technical personnel with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, solid foundation and wide knowledge, basic knowledge and skills of modern ship design and construction, computer programming and application ability, and can engage in technical and management work in ship design, manufacture, inspection, use and management departments.

Main courses: theoretical mechanics, material mechanics, fluid mechanics, ship structural mechanics, metal technology and shipbuilding materials, ship strength and structural design, ship statics, ship resistance and propulsion, ship sway and maneuverability, and ship design principles.

Main practical links: drawing, ship design and computer-aided design training.

Professional knowledge and ability of graduates: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, mechanics, computer and ship engineering, receive basic training in ship design and ship manufacturing, and have the basic ability to engage in modern ship design, manufacturing and project management.

(1) Master the basic theory and knowledge of ship engineering principles and ship design methods;

(2) Have the basic skills of hull drawing, design, calculation, test and document retrieval, and have the basic ability to engage in modern ship design, research and production engineering management;

Training objectives: This major trains senior technical talents who love the motherland, develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically, meet the requirements of international and national seafarers' competency standards, are familiar with international shipping business, master modern navigation theory and practical skills, and are competent for modern ship driving and shipping management.

Main courses: ship principle, ship structure and equipment, navigation instruments, ship manipulation, maritime cargo transportation, navigation, maritime meteorology and oceanography, ship watch and collision avoidance, maritime English reading, maritime English listening and conversation, radar and ARPA, ship management, GMDSS equipment and business.

Main practical links: ship art training, crew familiarity and basic safety training, survival craft and rescue boat proficiency training, first aid proficiency training, advanced fire fighting training, radar observation and plotting and radar simulator training, automatic radar (ARPA) plotting training, sailor competency training, GMDSS general operator training, chart operation, route design, stowage design, correct use of navigation instruments, navigation understanding practice, graduation practice and thesis defense.

Knowledge and ability that graduates should possess: Students in this major mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of navigation technology, receive basic training in practical skills of navigation technology, and have the basic ability to engage in ship driving, ship management, teaching and scientific research in shipping enterprises and institutions.

(1) Master systematically the basic theoretical knowledge of natural science and engineering technology required by navigation technology specialty, and have certain knowledge of humanities and social sciences;

(2) Have the basic knowledge of shipping management and laws, and have a certain understanding of the international shipping market economy;

(3) Having operational ability and certain management knowledge in ship driving, cargo handling and stowage, ship operation management and personnel management, radio communication, etc.;

(4) Having the ability to correctly use the equipment on board GMDSS, and being able to provide radio service in case of emergency, meeting the general operator competency standard of GMDSS;

(5) Obtained the second-class certificate of computer application ability and the national CET-4 certificate, able to read foreign language books and periodicals of this major smoothly, with strong listening, speaking and writing abilities.

(6) Personnel who have obtained relevant professional certificates for seafarers through on-campus training and have the required maritime qualifications can obtain the third-class certificate of competency for ships in the infinite navigation area;

Main courses: engineering thermodynamics and heat transfer, engineering mechanics, mechanical design foundation, electrician and electronic technology, marine electrical equipment and system, marine diesel engine, marine auxiliary equipment, marine automation, marine mechanical maintenance technology, marine management, marine English, etc.

Main practical links: crew familiarity and basic safety training, proficiency in lifeboat and rescue boat training, proficiency in first aid training, advanced fire fighting training, electrical and electronic practice, ship practice, ship power station practice, metalworking practice, dynamic disassembly and operation practice, graduation practice and graduation thesis defense.

Professional knowledge and ability of graduates:

Students in this major mainly study basic theories and knowledge such as marine engineering and electromechanical engineering. Trained in drawing, computer application, mechanical design, operation, management and inspection of marine power plant, with the basic ability of marine engine operation, maintenance, supervision and inspection.

(1) Have a solid foundation in natural science and understand the main directions and application prospects of contemporary science and technology;

(2) Having the capabilities of modern ship navigation and berthing on duty, mechanical and electrical equipment operation, fault diagnosis and emergency treatment;

(3) Having the ability to install, debug, maintain, inspect and manage the mechanical and electrical equipment of the marine power plant;

(4) Having good national quality and certain foreign affairs communication ability;

(5) Professional training on seamen's familiarity and basic safety, professional training on seamen's survival boats and rescue boats, professional training on advanced fire fighting for seamen and professional training on seamen's first aid can be obtained.

(6) Personnel who have obtained relevant professional certificates for seafarers through on-campus training and have the required maritime qualifications can take the qualification certificate of three-tube ship with main propulsion power plant of 3000 kW and above.

(7) Obtain the national English Band 4 and computer application ability certificate.

Employment direction: ocean shipping company, ship repairing enterprise, port and shipping management department, maritime bureau, classification society, etc. , engaged in ship technical management, manufacturing, repair, inspection and supervision, but also engaged in related industries.
