What kind of person is Lawrence of Arabia?
Thomas edward lawrence, a famous British general during World War I, was born into a Welsh aristocrat. He taught himself Arabic at university and went to the Middle East as an archaeologist to inspect the ruins of the Palestinian and Syrian Crusaders on foot. I also wrote my graduation thesis "The Influence of Crusade Movement on European Military Architecture Style at the End of 12".

After graduating from college,1911in June, 2008, Lawrence, at the age of 22, returned to the Middle East as an archaeologist and participated in the archaeological excavation of Carchemish, the Hittite capital of the Ottoman Empire. So he has always been an archaeologist and historian in the first place.

19 14 10. When the First World War broke out, Ottoman Turkey was an ally of Germany, so it also declared war. After Turkey entered the war, Britain was at a disadvantage in the Middle East. It was at this time that Lawrence gave up archaeology and joined the army.

Because he can speak fluent Arabic and is familiar with local customs and geography, he was quickly transferred from the Geographic Information Department of the General Staff in London to the Army Intelligence Department in Cairo, Egypt. Lawrence, as the liaison officer of the British side, on the one hand, should keep close contact with the British side to ensure the smooth arrival of British information and materials. At the same time, he had to work in divided Arab ministries, hoping to unite these tribes against the Turkish army.

For more than two years from 19 16 to 19 18, he wore Arab clothes and went deep into Arab tribes to eat and live with them. On the one hand, he is strict with himself and respects the traditions and opinions of the Gege tribe. On the other hand, he constantly persuaded local tribes to unite against the Turks.

Joined the former pro-Turkish tribal leader Ode Abu Tay (anthony quinn), and relied on the latter's strength to form an informal tribal army, and also captured the fortress Aqaba. This victory also made him a star in the British military, and most importantly, made the British realize the importance of the Arab rebels. The whole experience can be said to be quite legendary.
