Word2003 Footnote Number Setting
In Word2003, the default is a section, and the page format of each section is the same. If you want to start the footnote number of each chapter in the Word document with 1, you must insert a section break to divide the document into sections, so that it can be set separately.

Operating steps:

1. Place the cursor at the beginning of Chapter 2, and then click Insert Delimiter;

2. The separator dialog box pops up and select the next section;

3. Position the cursor where footnotes need to be inserted, and click Insert-Reference-Footnotes and Endnotes;

3. Open the Footnotes and Endnotes dialog box, and select each section to be renumbered at the number in the dialog box, as shown in the figure.
