How to use MathType
MathType is a powerful formula editor developed by American Design Science Company, which is specially used for editing mathematical formulas. It can be used with commonly used word processing software and demonstration programs, and can add complex mathematical formulas and symbols to various documents. It can be used to edit math test papers, books, newspapers, papers, slides and so on. This is a powerful tool for editing mathematical data. MathType is mainly used by students, teachers and scientific professionals, and can be used in education and teaching, scientific research institutions, engineering, paper writing, periodical typesetting and editing scientific papers. I won't explain the skills of editing formulas with mathtype one by one here. Here, I will introduce the editing method of braces. You can go to mathtype Chinese official website to learn more skills.

Mathtype can edit braces as follows:

Method 1: Edit with MathType template.

1. Open the MathType formula editor according to your own usage habits and enter the editing interface.

2. In the MathType toolbar of the editing interface, click the separator template. There are different separator templates such as left bracket, right brace and two braces, which you can choose according to your own needs.

Method 2: Input directly with the keyboard.

You also need to open MathType. In the editing area of MathType, you can directly enter braces with the keyboard in the English input state. However, one thing is that the parentheses entered in this way are very small, which can't be increased with the increase of formulas, and you can't switch to multi-line formulas to edit equations.

Method 3: Use shortcut keys.

When editing braces in MathType, you can also use shortcut keys to edit directly, without clicking the template in MathType toolbar. MathType brace symbols also have corresponding shortcut keys, and the left unilateral brace: Ctrl+T, Shift+[

Right unilateral brace: Ctrl+T, Shift+].

Tip: The braces edited by methods 1 and 3 can be automatically resized according to the formula content, while the braces edited by method 2 cannot be resized, so it is generally recommended to use methods 1 and 3. If you want to edit the equation, you can only use method 1 or method 3.
