Lifting appliances that absorb heavy objects by magnetic force or air pressure difference. It can be divided into electromagnetic sucker and vacuum sucker.
① electromagnetic sucker:
It consists of a disc-shaped steel shell and an excitation coil in the shell (Figure 1), which is used to adsorb magnetic conductive materials. Also called lifting electromagnet, it is usually hung on the hook of crane, and its cable rises and falls with the hook. According to the working principle, it can be divided into electromagnetic type and permanent magnet type. The electromagnetic type relies on the direct current of the coil to excite the magnetic attraction, and the power is cut off to demagnetize the discharge. In order to prevent materials from falling when power is cut off, cranes equipped with this kind of sucker generally need standby power supply. The permanent magnet type relies on a permanent magnet (such as Al-Ni-Co or strontium ferrite alloy magnetic steel suction head) to absorb materials, and it will be demagnetized and discharged when energized. There is no danger of dropping materials when power is cut off, but the demagnetization is not clean and it is easy to absorb iron filings and scale, which affects the suction. The circular electromagnetic sucker is the most widely used. Rectangular electromagnetic sucker is often used to adsorb plates and strips. The bottom surface of the sucker is mostly flat; There are also concave arcs, which are used to suck barrels and coils. ② Vacuum sucker:
It consists of vacuum device and soft plastic or bowl-shaped rubber sucker, which can be divided into two types: powered and unpowered. The power vacuum chuck uses a vacuum pump to obtain vacuum, which has a large suction force but a large noise, and it needs to be attached with cables or ventilation hoses. Unpowered vacuum chuck is also called self-priming vacuum chuck. When lifting the sucker, the hook drives the piston rod to obtain vacuum, and no power source is needed. Its advantages are simple structure and no noise, but usually it can only adsorb materials below 500 kg. Vacuum sucker is often used to suck flat objects. The inhaled substance is not limited by the presence or absence of magnetic permeability. Steel plate, glass, plastic, cement products and wood can be sucked and transported, and materials can be taken from a pile of plates one by one, with high working efficiency.
